Got to the bus stop today and it's like a ghost town. Is there some holiday that I'm missing Weird.
So DH picks up SS and LO and LO has juice on this shirt!!! Red/purple juice. Could be kool aid or crystal light. Pretty sure my niece did it but nobody will fess up that they actually gave hime some. So.....anyone giving juice yet??
Caught up a little from yesterday. Strollers: we have the Click Connect and a Zobo stroller. The Zobo is nice but the wheels are on the big side and it won't fit in the back if I have the third seat up in my truck. Before I went back to work DH left me without the base to the Click Connect and I had errands to run. I had to scramble to put the stupid thing together with my sister and it was a real PITA to take my 8lb infant in and out. It's good to use now though. Here's a pic of his little baby booty in it.
littleapplemom maybe everyone is taking a long weekend to enjoy the nice weather (not sure where you are but this has been the first really nice weather we have had here)! We haven't given juice yet and probably won't give much juice at all (I'm in public health and work on a dental project where I see all these horrible teeth issues and work with dentists who constantly say no juice or less than 4oz a day if given and only at meal time) seems easier just to avoid it all together (at least for me).
I am never going to get caught up tagging but I have been reading along as much as possible but it seems like as soon as I start a post I get pulled away. Work has been insane lately and is just going to get worse. I really want to go back to part time but it isn't possible :-( I normally work 4-10s so I can have Fridays off..this week I worked 4-12s and am headed to do a major presentation this morning so wish me luck!
My nanny and I are going to make mothers day footprint crafts this afternoon when I get out of work (she has a 7month old) hoping they turn out!
littleapplemom no juice here (ever if I can handle it) or if we ever do have juice it will be like 75% water and a little bit of juice. Unless it's from our juicer.
Juice drinks are on the never list, though. I'm a hair stylist now, but I have a BS in nutrition and dietetics and I just can't get on the juice drink train (or soda) Your LO looks so cute in the stroller. Little nose boop.
spikesmom our weather is finally awesome now too. So excited to be outside. Good luck on your presentation and I hope your schedule eases up a bit! Enjoy the craft project! You inspired me to get our footprint kit thing and do something this weekend too.
I went out for a margarita with some girls after work yesterday. Haven't done that in well over a year. It was so nice. H was able to give Liam his bath, and get him to bed.
I don't want to say anything other than, transitioning to the crib was awesome. He has been sleeping so much better! He tucked himself into the corner of his crib and the angel care monitor went off. H and I have never popped out of bed so fast! Thankfully he was just because he was sort of off the sensor. He slept through it though.
Okay sorry- ONE MORE POST! I totally cried at work. I do a little brother and sister duo's hair. Leo was 2.5 years and Thea was 4 years old when I started doing their hair. Leo just turned six a few weeks ago. They dropped off a Mother's Day gift! Hand print card, three personalized bibs and a cute book.
littleapplemom No juice here, either. Our pedi said juice isn't necessary and not to give it until 12 months if I remember right.
jjh1119 That is so sweet! What a thoughtful gift! And yay for a good crib transition!
We finally had a good night over here! LO slept 3 hours, then 2 hours, then 3 hours. I feel so rested today! I hope this continues.
We had some heavy rain the other night that caused some water spots on LO's ceiling. So thankful that we're renting and don't have to deal with getting stuff fixed ourselves. The office is super on top of things and will have it taken care of soon. I just hope they don't have to do any repairs that would require us to stay out of her room for too long.

jjh1119, that is SO ADORABLE!!! I would have started crying right on the spot. Love the bibs! So glad you got a day out with the girls. I told my friend she better start getting her hot tub ready cause I am most definitely going to leave Levi with MH some night soon and bringing over the wine for a hot tub night. I miss my girls nights. littleapplemom, No juice yet... and I don't plan on giving him much juice. If I do it will definitely be watered down. My dentist said that store bought juices have just about as much sugar in them as pop (Midwestern-er here, soda for the rest of you ). I have been debating starting him on a sippy cup with water though. spikesmom, I hope your presentation goes well today!
So this morning I experienced something I have missed greatly! I woke up on my own! Not because Levi hit me in the face or because he is moaning or crying in his bed wanting me to come and get him. No... he slept in till 7:30 and I woke up at 7:20. It may have only been 10 minutes, but having that ten minutes to lay in bed and let myself wake up on my own was glorious!!!
nerdalert yay for some good sleep stretches!! Hope the repair is quick and easy. singingmama10 yay for a gentle wake up! And yes definitely get your girls night on! It was fantastic and it was only an hour.
The gift meant so much to me. The bib person and the author of the book are locals, too! Pretty awesome. Such sweet kids. I always make sure that I can squeeze them in, do whatever to get their hair done. Leo especially holds a special place in my heart. It's really fun to watch my littles grow. He had to be held at first, then always had to hold mom or dads hand and now his dad can go get his haircut and leave Leo with me and he gets the works- shampoo and scalp massage, the whole deal. He says 'ahhhh, I am so relaxed now!'

Ugh...WARNING: random very random comment. Anyone watching the Today Show??? that guy that just sang needs to give up all those runs. Just sing the song. You can't even understand him. I can't stand when people try and make their songs so flowery... just sing it. Ok... clearly I miss teaching music today. Rant over.
I'm here reading along and loving posts as work is nutso with a major deadline coming up. LO still has her crappy eating pattern and now wakes up in the middle of the night, probably because she's a bit hungry.
spikesmom,I used to work reception for a pediatirc dentist and the poor babes that would come in at 2 and 3yo with mouths riddled with cavities from them sleeping with juice bottles. Worst thing ever. Def no juice here....I'm going to strongly reiterate with my parents. We don't even drink sugary drinks in my house. I buy V8 juices one in a blue moon. During the can can sale at Shoprite I'll buy the 5-24 packs of soda at a cheap cost and they last us for a whole year. During the summer I make sun tea and sweeten with agave. We're really water drinkers.
singingmama10,What is this waking up on your own that you speak of?! Lol I don't even think I'll see a day like that for a loooong time. DH doesn't hear LO most of the time. I have to elbow him to do anything and gave him an earful about never taking the MOTN feeding anymore! He'll go get a botle while I change LO, come back up and drop the bottle off in our room then disappear into the bathroom for JUST enough time for me to start feeding LO and he crawls back into bed. nerdalert, Hope the repairs go smoothly.
Good luck on your presentation spikesmom! Welcome back and happy Monday wildflower810! littleapplemom No juice here either. We're not juice drinkers...except sometimes I'll have a little cranberry and vodka. jjh1119 Hooray for the good crib sleep! We have the angel care monitor and a big part of why I can't transition baby yet is because it's not installed... nerdalert Hooray on the good sleep for you too! Oh my gosh singingmama10, to wake up on your own! I forgot about that!
I keep lovetitting and then accidentally un-lovetitting. I am going to have to work late on Monday, so I'm going to get the heck out of here early today to make up for it! I've got some free panty coupons at VS, I'm going to get baby a big-girl potty chair since her booty has overgrown the potty bowl, and then maybe I'll go have lunch with my daughter! (I just love saying "my daughter!")
Happy Friday ladies! No juice here yet, I was read in my "what to expect the first year" book you can start trying a cup at 6 months with either breast milk or a little bit of water so we may try that here when she gets there...I'm not in too big if a hurry tho! zengal I love saying "my daughter" too! singingmama10 Yay for waking up on your own...definitely something I miss! gldnbearz sorry for your lo's eating pattern, it will pass and you will get sleep again wildflower810 hope you get everything done today spikesmom good luck on your presentation jjh1119 congrats on the crib sleep, I've been considering moving lo to hers too...you give me hope!
We had the best night of sleep that we have had in about 3 months last night....only because lo cried on and off for about 4 hours yesterday afternoon and I'm sure she was just exausted! Idk what was wrong but I couldn't calm her at all, finally gave her a little Tylenol thinking maybe it was teething and it seemed to help. She's at dc this morning and with H this afternoon so hopefully it goes well!
zengal the angel care monitor is the only reason I'm cool with him sleeping in the crib. It's a bit annoying having to shut off both monitors every time we take him out but piece of mind means momma sleeps better
For transitions- yall know we have had a tough sleeper! I won't say how much better yet because I don't want to jinx it. But we're talking double digit hours of sleep in a row
We just did family swim at the Y. The lifeguard gave us a ball and liam loved having us have him chase after it. He was kicking to get to the ball. Very fun. Can't wait to go again.

What's the german word for happy for you but also filled with envy rage?
LO has been in her crib for months - but tomorrow night she heads to her own room. I'm going to miss her; but would reallllly love sleeping for like, 4 hours straight. Whatever, I'm zen.
Also - no juice here either but we just but Nuby sip cups for water. Can't tell if she's actually getting anything out of it, but it's just for fun/practice now anyway!
nerdalert and pixie523. We both are pretty sure that last night was a fluke BUT we are totally hoping for at least half that amount in a row. But yes double digit hours of sleep. In a row. I don't want to talk about it any more just in case!

No juice here. We are not big juice or soda drinkers. Though about once every 2 weeks or so I MUST have a diet coke & chocolate. Otherwise I love water & drink it all the time. My 3 yr old nephew just had to have major dental work done, my sil swears it's all the oranges he drinks. But every time we see him he's drinking a soda, a sugary juice and/or eating candy. Its soo hard not to judge.
I'm hearing about these magical babies who sleep, where do I find one?? My Lo has turned into the worst sleeper ever. dh just got home today so hopefully he'll take a shift or too.
