yet another reason to vaccinate

I know everyone here vaccinates, but I thought this was really interesting. Not only are you putting your kid in harms way of getting measles by not vaccinating, but they are at greater risk to other diseases as well if you don't give them the measles vaccinate and they get measles.

Very interesting. It makes sense to me as a scientist but I didn't read the original paper and I'm not an immunology expert and I'm sure more research is needed. The fact that my kid won't get measles is enough for me to get the vaccine though.

That's actually really interesting. I'm interested in their continued research with the # of years following having measles and such... I agree with tribute17, that the idea my kid(s) won't get measles is enough for me to vaccinate (obviously) but I really hope some of this research comes out more and is something that holds up to really drive home the MMR vaccine for those who are "on the edge" or who refuse...

Very interesting. Also makes me feel extra stabby towards people who don't vsccinate their kids.
