To build on the questions @holachica asked, am I naive to think some babies just figure it out? Feel free to laugh if I'm crazy . I guess I just hoped that sometimes it just all clicks for them.
What sleep training method did you use? Sleep Sense
Can you briefly describe it? CIO with checks at 10 min intervals, no sleep props other than 1 lovie that is associated with bedtime and it doesn't leave the crib, nap (book, song) and bedtime routine (bath, pjs, book, food, song, crib). Feed after nap.
Are you using it again? Yes, with success.
Also, I just want to add what I mentioned in the other thread. Sleep training is about learning to self-soothe not sttn. If your baby can put themselves to sleep then you probably don't need to do sleep training. However, I have also known people who didn't need it until x, y, and z and then they are having a lot of sleep issues when they never did before. I don't know what the answer is other than you have to do what is right for you.

Yes. Some babies figure it out. But, for me personally, I'm not waiting until they're 2 or 3.

I read the questions and then had to close the thread because I couldn't think of what I did specifically to get my kids to sleep. I just kind of went with their cues and eventually they figured it out. Maybe if I had a plan it would have happened sooner with the first two. I have no idea.

Also, my oldest figured it out at 6 weeks, my middle child around 14 months and now Brady is usually only getting up once a night after sleeping for 5-6 hours.

oh heck no! I just didn't know if it was something you were definitely going to have to do at one point or another, or if it was more just something where some babies need sleep training, some dont.
I just need help getting DS to put himself to sleep at bedtime. He will put himself back to sleep in the middle of the night. He used to put himself to sleep but, that phase has ended. He's is a bad phase right now, hoping he will get out of it soon.
