Quite awhile back, maybe on the dump, someone had posted a home remedy for hemorrhoids that involved garlic (I think?). Just wondering if that person is around and could share again. After sitting/sleeping in a really hard wooden rocking chair for almost 48 hrs helping my sister through labor I am now experiencing 3 really awesome friends.
I don't know about garlic but witch hazel always helps mine. It soothes the pain and helps to shrink them. After doing some cleaning today one that was really painful popped open and is now gone!! Yay!! Mine are always small and never hurt but this little bastard really hurt. Not anymore!

I have no answers for you, I'm sorry. I just stopped in to say that I don't see this as AW or SS even a little bit. Unless you think you either imagined that hemorrhoids are a problem or they are super great and you are bragging you have them.

Thanks guys. I got the prep h gel but I don't feel like it is doing a whole lot. I'll pick up some witch hazel today and look into some of the other creams. Such glamorous times.

What way do you use the witch hazel?
They have witch hazel pads that you can buy just like tucks or you can get a bottle and pour some on tp and dab it on them lightly.

That was me! Yes, it really works. You finely chop, or crush a clove of garlic and mix it with a little olive oil. You can also add some apple cider vinegar, or witch hazel. Then just put it on a cotton ball and apply. I usually let it sit for about 15 minutes. It can burn, but it shouldn't be unbearable. There is another method where you stick a clove up the hole, but I never tried it.
Eta: I did it a few times a day for two days, and that would usually take care of my hemorrhoids. It shrinks them somehow. Even though I have had them throughout this pregnancy, they have not gotten that uncomfortable, thankfully.
