Well since we are having another girl I will be able to reuse a majority of Dagnys old clothes. However as I pack up 2T & winter 3T clothes I notice a lot are stained or super worn from being washed so often. Would you still save these? MH made the point that they could still be play clothes for new DD but I feel guilty putting new one in stained clothes! Is this just irrational? WWJ12 do?
I'm fairly certain we saved probably 95% of J's clothes and will use them all over too. I am going to try sun bleaching on a couple of onsies that I loved that had some stains on them and I didn't want to toss, but we lived in an apt. with a shaded patio and basically no direct sunlight.... If it doesn't work, then I'll probably not use them.
Other than that, I think some of those things you could toss or donate maybe. Otherwise they do make good play/paint/grungy clothes if you ever go outside to just play in the dirt or something.

I saved everything unless it was ripped or something and reevaluated when I unpack. Stained clothes I send to the ILs during the day cause they're always getting dirty over there
More of the clothes I end up getting rid of is the stuff I never put DS1 in for whatever reason.
I went through all of Robin's 3 and 6 month stuff and made three piles--keep, consign, donate. I'm only keeping stained/worn out stuff if it was something I really liked. It also depended on if it matched up season wise--a lot of our stuff is off by one season so if it was on the fence I only kept it if I thought it would be useful.

I kept everything from DD#1 and still have it even though we're done. I'm so sentimental! I really need to go through everything and see what I want to keep, what needs to be tossed and what I can consign or donate.
I would keep everything for now that isn't completely ruined. Then reevaluate as DD#2 grows.
I saved everything. There were some leggings that were a little worn in the knees. But I figured they could just be for play or dc since they get dirtier there anyway

I saved way too much after O, partially due to needing a lot since we didn't have our own washer/dryer. With G we could do laundry a lot more so I'm going through everything again and only saving my very favorites. Anything stained is out!

I pitched stained things for the most part. The exception being whites that I thought I could bleach again. I am giving as much away to friends as I can and consigning a few higher priced items if could, but they won't take anything that is stained. If I was having a second I might keep some the leggings just as play clothes for outdoor play or as pasta shirts (clothes for messy meals).

When I put Leah's stuff away, I saved almost everything. If something was really stained, it wasn't saved. I figured a little stain could just be play clothes. I've given away a lot of her stuff since having the boys but pulled out anything stained.
I saved almost everything, except I consigned all her outfits that were appliqued or had her name on them. Since Emma is so common they were easy to sell. With Emma we often used stained leggings/shirts for pajamas, messy meals, muddy days or art.
While I was unpacking some of her baby stuff for future foster babies I realized that a lot of her baby stuff I thought was clean now has yellow stains from either formula or spit up. Does anyone know how to get that out?

I've noticed yellow staining too. I was hoping it would come out in another wash, no luck?
Thanks ladies - never though of using for PJs! I will probably save a few things for play clothes and donate the rest.
For the yellow staining, that's what I want to try and sun bleach... I've seen a lit of people have success with it, but I haven't tried it yet. You basically lay it out in the sun for awhile and it fades the stains.... I'm going to try after we get stuff back out of storage

Do you lay it out wet?
I'll have to look it up again, I can't remember. I saw it on pinterest, and a mommy friend of mine did it too and had before/after pics of hers which worked really well.
You don't have to lay them out wet justbeth. I usually lay the clothes out after they get dried and it still works just fine
Oh, and the sun bleaching works on other things too. If you have tupperware that has food stains (like from red tomato sauce) it will apparently bleach that out too. I haven't tried that yet, but our DC teacher told us that one.
If they were SUPER bad then I tossed them. However with some with stains I just tried to get them out if they aren't too bad. FYI for spit up stains if you soak in warm water and rub dish washer detergent on them and leave them overnight the stains come out!
