Sorry she didn't turn around for you this week txngrl31 ! I know you were hoping she would. Fingers crossed for you she does next week and if not, it sounds like you have a good outlook on it!
I had my 36 week appointment today. My blood pressure was 122/79, which relieved DH and I! Last Thursday, after working a 13hr shift, my BP was 150/100!! It went down within the hour to a range that my dr was happy with, so I didn't have to go into L&D. Friday morning it was up again, so I had to see a different dr in my ob's practice because my Dr was still on call at the hospital. They took it 4 times, and made me lay on my left side with the lights turned down for 10 minutes in between each reading. It finally went down the 4th time. He checked me and went ahead and did my GBS test just in case I had to deliver early, which scared the crap out of me! I was sent to the hospital to do lab work.. a CBC and a chemistry.. both came back good. I was told to take Monday and today off work to see how I was doing at my appointment today. I've been released to go back to work, only 8 hour shifts, instead of 10+ hours, and no call. And I'm dilated to a 1, cervix is still long, but the Dr can feel baby's head!
Are you ladies having some bleeding after having your cervix checked? She said I might have some spotting, but I wasn't expecting this much!
Had my appt today and it was the fastest one yet! I was super relieved that I only gained 1lb in the last two weeks since I've been consuming Rita's water ice like its my job lately. Baby girl is still head down and HB is in the mid 140's. I have GBS which has been the cause of the symptoms that the NP thought were indicative of a UTI. Luckily I've already been on antibiotics for 4 days and am starting to have some relief.
Can't believe I only have 3 more appointments before Baby Day!
@lilchivette glad to hear LO can stay cooking a bit longer, but I think I would have been pretty frustrated with the mis-read. Now you'll have more nesting time, though!
FX for all those stubborn babies out of position and funky fluid levels. Hopefully they work themselves out and no one needs induced this early.
I had my 35 wks appointment yesterday. Gained 3 pounds in 3 weeks, which has been my norm for the last few appointments. No sugar in my urine this week so I don't have to start testing! GBS test was this week - no results yet. Belly measurement was good and then she had trouble getting the heartbeat because LO kept rolling around and kicking at the doppler. I told her I was pretty sure the babe is head down due to hiccups and movement, but she wasn't convinced. She decided to see if we could squeeze in a quick ultrasound to check the position and the tech was available. This woman absolutely loves her job and is so fun to have a U/S with. She noticed LO was head down right away and pointed out the face. Then she said "Wait, let's turn on the 3D!" You can now officially switch me from the "freaked out by 3D" camp to "OMG, love that thing!" I still don't think I would have paid extra, but I teared up right away and have been showing off the pictures like crazy! So of course, I'll share with you all as well. My sister says it looks like he/she is flexing to show off their tattoo.

@s.coffey1123, glad to hear you have some extra time and hope you go into labor on your own!
redlipz, fx at your appointment this friday that all is well!
txngrl31, so sorry to hear she is breech again! Hopefully she'll flip back down by next week!
I had my 34 week appointment today. They asked one of the midwives if she was seeing me today, and she said "oh, i saw her at the last visit." Probably me being too sensitive, but don't think the midwives/doctors are the friendliest at this practice. But that doesn't matter, delivering a healthy baby is all that matters.
Had some sugar in my urine today, but baby is still head down. BP still elevated at 136/87 but lower than it has been and they didn't seem concerned. Next appointment is at 36 weeks and I'll be getting the GBS test then.
Ultrasound scheduled for Thursday afternoon. I really want this baby to stay a little longer, since it might be measuring small I'd hate for him/her to have to stay in the nicu at all.

I had my 36-week yesterday. Pretty uneventful. Good BP and Fetal HR. Weight was up way more than expected, but they didn't seem worried. GBS swab was way easier than expected - FX for negative results next week!
Baby boy is head down and they can tell the cord is not wrapped around him. Currently measuring 6lbs12oz which is the size my DD2 was when she was born at 39w4d. So looks like baby brother is going to be a bit bigger than his sisters.
I'm only a fingertip dilated and 20% effaced.
BP, urine, weight, etc all good. Oh, also she did the GBS swab.
Scheduled the next 2 appts for each of the next 2 Thursday's.
Had my 34 week check up yesterday, and everything looked great. Measuring on track, good weight, low/regular BP, baby's heart rate was good...all is well!
However, two things kind of threw me for a loop, and I'm having a hard time moving past them...
1. We go to a group practice, so we've been cycling through the physicians to meet them all so we'll at least have met the OB on call when I go into labor. The OB we met with yesterday mentioned that even though we're in that practice, some of the docs 'sell their on call times' to OBs outside of the practice...meaning we could get some rando when the time comes. I'm kind of pissed. I feel like we chose THIS practice because their philosophy meshed well with our goals, and I've spent time at each appointment discussing with the doc our hopes etc...and in the end, we could get some episiotomy/drug happy doc who we've never met. We have a birth plan written out, and I know more has to do with your nurse and all of that....Trying not to stress over it because it's obviously out of my control, buuuuuuuuuuut......WTF?
2. The doc listened to the baby's heart rate for a little bit longer than usual, which made me a bit nervous, and then she declared that the baby was most likely a boy. Two quick things- I thought the whole heart rate thing was a myth, AND, WE DON'T WANT TO KNOW THE SEX OF THE BABY BEFORE HE/SHE IS BORN ! I know this is kind of ironic/hypocritical whatever, as in, if I don't believe that method of knowing actually works, then why would I care what the doc says, but I still think it was kind of obnoxious that she said that knowing full well that we don't want to know beforehand, right ? I mean, she is a medical professional ! A. Don't be using unproven methods to 'diagnose' things, and B. Have some respect for our clearly stated wishes !
Maybe I'm just being hypersensative...but I'm annoyed! I am of course super grateful that the baby/I am healthy and everything is looking on track, but ughhh. Why do people have to do not exactly what I want them to do

Okay.. 36w 0d today... had an ultrasound today with the perinatologist. Baby is doing well the ultrasound is saying that it's weighing in at 7lbs 13oz (but those can be off by 2lbs in either direction). He is saying that he would like to see me again at 39 weeks to make sure everything is still good, and I will be getting Non stress tests each week. The perinatologist doesn't like babies with 2 vessel cords to go past 39 weeks, but with being at the birth center we can't really induce anything. So that's why he wants me to go in for another ultrasound at 39 weeks that way if the baby is still good we can hold off on having to do a hospital induction but looks like he doesn't want me to go past 40 weeks no matter what. I haven't talked to my MW yet, I'm curious to see what she says. Doctors vs. Midwifes it's always interesting on how they handle things differently.

36 week app today. OB said baby is head down so I'm FX she stays that way. I'm 1cm and long. GBS test was slightly uncomfortable this time and wadnt with DS but not bad. BP was fine. I notice my pulse is higher and higher lately but they haven't said anything about it. HB seemed good. Based on their scale I've gained 4 lbs in the last 2 weeks for a grand total of 40lbs this pregnancy. (However it's a different location thus different scale than last appt).my OB still hasn't said anything about my weight gain so I'm assuming NBD (not that I can really control it)
Went to my 34/35wk appt today. -I lost 2lbs. (So I've only gained 13lbs so far this pregnancy) -My sugar is getting better but he wants it lower so he upped my meds to twice a day. -He now wants me to have a NST 2x per week and an ultrasound every other week. -I'M SICK OF GOING TO MY OB! -I get my GBS test next week too. Yay -_-

No weight gain. Yay! 2 cm dilated ~75% effaced They didnt seem concerned about my cramping, they seem to think it is BH nurse and doctor both excited about my pinkish tint, said it was my mucus plug Said he was positive we wouldn't go past our due date And to take it easy
Still measuring behind fundally but they don't seem concerned

Had my 36 week check-in today (36w6d). Everything went pretty well; BP was good 126/60, weight gain about 1.5 lbs in 2 weeks, Baby's heartbeat was in the 130s. Did the GBS swab and asked if the OB would check my cervix due to all the pelvic pressure I have when walking. I'm not dilated at all (boo) but 50% effaced and the baby is at -2 (yay!). OB said that since our last ultrasound (2 weeks ago) estimated baby weighing about 6lbs9oz already, I should just go ahead and do whatever I want to get labor started. Ekk!
Nothing very interesting at my 36 week. She is quite comfy where she is apparently - still head down to the right but up high. No sign of wanting to move out in the near future. Got my GSB swab and that was that.

Hey ladies, I have an appointment in the morning and I can't remember if they said they'd do a pelvic exam THIS appointment or next time... I'll be 34 weeks tomorrow... I know it's not always the same at every practice but if somebody happens to have a good idea... I always like to be extra prepared for somebody checking out the lady parts.. Hahaha. Just curious.
ETA: looking over the rest of your posts I'm seeing some 36+ weekers talking about the strep b test or whatever it's called... So I'm thinking I won't have to take my pants off til the next appointment.
Went in on Tuesday morning for my 34 week appointment. My BP was 114/66 and I was only up 1 pound in the last 2 weeks. I was excited about both numbers! Baby is head down and had a great heart rate but didn't do any dilation checks yet. Baby is measuring right on schedule. NP felt bad about my swelling but didn't lecture me like the other NP did. (I couldn't stand my OB's NP and had to switch!) there's really only so much I can do- I've already cut out all fast food, processed food and as of Saturday all carbs. I literally eat fresh fruit and veggies and meat/eggs. So far I haven't noticed my swelling getting better, but it's only been a few days. Since my BP was in a good range I was able to cancel my appointment for next week. Next appointment is set for 36 weeks. Crazy!

34 week appointment was today, weight gain is fine, bp is fine, baby's heartrate seemed a little high (in the 160's, normally mid 140's) but they weren't concerned, just thought baby was being more active than normal. Scheduled appointments for weeks 36-40, eek! Got my tdap today too.
Weekly NST with AF screening today. Damn BP was up again so I am now being induced at 38 weeks. But I c have ankles and can bend my toes so that is a huge plus.
Hope everyone's week is going well!
Sorry to hear your BP will not cooperate! Hope your LO stays safe while still baking!

What has your BP been running? I'd would be so aggravated with the back & forth by now, seriously.
@littlechivette, Goodness girl! I would be so aggravated with their back and forth ness, but like we have all learned, everything is out of our hands and our little ones come when and how they want to. At least you are mentally prepared this time. You will be holding your little one soon and all this pregnancy madness will be behind you.
37 week appointment: -GBS swab -Gained 2 pounds since last appointment -Baby's heart rate was 140-145 -Doctor asked if I wanted a cervix check, I declined.
At last appointment I saw a different doctor than my normal doc, and I asked about repeat episiotomies/tears. I asked again at this appointment when I saw my regular doc, and he literally gave me the OPPOSITE answer that the other doc did. First Doc said: I most likely won't tear or need episiotomy second time around My Regular Doc said: If you've torn before, your risk of tearing again is higher First Doc: 99% of the time episiotomies are NOT done My Regular Doc: Will perform an episiotomy if he sees a tear beginning
So...basically I have no idea what's going to happen because I have no idea which doctor I'm going to get when I deliver.

My bottom number has been in the high 80's to low 90's. With a few times being in the 100's. At this point I think they're right in scheduling me for 38 weeks because the few times I've checked it myself because I didn't feel right or it got checked at the dentist, it was in the 90's.
My bottom number was in the 80's my last two appointments and they never said a word to me...it just blows my mind how different offices are and how they practice/operate...good luck, girl!
Wish me luck on my ultrasound this afternoon! We are hoping baby, if anything, is just small and that the placenta is working properly so that we don't have to be induced. I am not ready to have a baby yet! Give me another week or two!
