So I went in this morning for my NST and to schedule my appointment to be induced. I thought my midwife was going to shit herself when I brought it up. What happened was my results got read wrong which is why they felt the need to induce me. So now they want to get me to 38-39 weeks and maternity leave started today.
Well shit if that didn't send you in a tizzy. I guess that's good news though!
36 week appointment today. Another week sugar was found in my urine. 2 weeks ago was definitely my fault. This morning, I looked for cereal with less sugar to eat and had water instead of juice. Again with the sugar. I though my nurse said last time it was elevated a bit the previous time, but the doctor told me it only said last week and this week. She still didn't seem concerned, but next week I am making eggs for breakfast for sure, or not eating. I'm just freaking out that I have a giant kiddo in there. Group B Strep test today. Totally not a big deal at all. They made my daughter sit up by my head and hold my hand. It was cute. She asked to help the doctor when she measured me and checked the heartbeat, because last time she was climbing up on the table when the doctor was ready to measure, so the doctor asked her to help. This doctor let her too so she was super excited. She loves the doctor and check ups. The entire staff there is so so sweet to her. I love them. Also checked position again via ultrasound. Still head down. Tried to verify sex again. Doctor tried pointing out boy parts, but I 100% had no clue what I was looking at. Their machine isn't as good as the one at my anatomy scan. Go back again next week for weekly appointments and will likely be checked for dilation and effacement. Crazy!
I had my (almost) 37 week appointment today. They did the GBS swab and the first cervical exam. I'm 1 cm dilated and soft. but there's no effacement going on. Baby is thankfully head down, but not particularly low. My doctor is going out of town this week, so he told me not to have the baby while he's gone. Lol.

Yay for another couple of weeks! I'm putting you on my list of "people I hope go into labor on their own." Those extra couple weeks might make the difference! And would be so much nicer than an induction!

Omg I would have vomited on their shoes for causing that much unnecessary stress!! I find that in the practice I go to, the docs are always in a rush to use interventions of some kind or another, and the midwives are far more chill. Sounds like it's similar at your practice too? I'm glad that your LO will get a few more weeks a-cookin' and that you get to start your leave to relax a bit now. FX things continue to go well!
I had a modified BPP today to check on this little dude. He was so stubborn and napping for most of the U/S, but we did finally get some good movement after the tech almost rolled off her stool by accident and gave my belly a good thud with the transducer. Bub was not pleased and turned his little tush toward it. Lil' one's sassin' with ass already haha. He did great on the BPP, and my fluid levels are just fine - so eat my shorts to the OB who made me all worried over nothing. Next NST and appointment on Thursday, so hopefully will have another blissfully boring update then!
Another uneventful appointment. The OB suggested that i drink water before i get out of bed in the AM and thinks the dizzy spell was probably just dehydration and the blood rushing to my head. BP looks good.
@littlechivette OMG you are handling this so well! I admire your positivity....I'd be freaking out on someone right now, both about the unnecessary stress and about my leave starting earlier than planned because of their mistake. I'm so glad that you get to cook LO for a couple more weeks though!

Just had my rescheduled 32 week appointment, which we ended up calling my 34 week appointment since I'm 33w5d today. I gained 5 pounds in the past 2 days, which concerned me greatly but somehow does not concern my OB at all. My blood pressure and urine was fine and she didn't see any signs of swelling so she ruled out preeclampsia. Before today my weight has been dropping or staying exactly the same since March so she said she was fine to see it go up like that with no other strange symptoms. She cleared that my migraine meds are safe for use during breastfeeding so I can continue increasing my dose if need be and won't have worry about tapering off of them prior to delivery which is a HUGE relief! Induction at 37 weeks is still on the table but it is entirely up to me and my ability to tolerate my symptoms. Basically, any day 3 weeks from this Wednesday on I can say "I can't take this anymore, I'm done and I want to be induced" and they will do it. She knows that I want to get to that point and play it by ear and push it as far as I can, with the goal of going into labor on my own, but days like yesterday and today when I have the worst migraine imaginable, induction at 37 weeks sounds great. So, we shall see.
We talked in depth about birth plans, and the hospitals policies and beliefs surrounding labor and delivery practices. They all vibe really well with what I want for myself and I feel great about everything she had to say. I am so happy to know that they have a room with a tub and that she'll put me in first dibs for that room that day. She also gave me her vote of confidence in my ability to go med-free (HOORAY!)! Overall a good appointment. I'll go back in 2 weeks, and then it's once a week until GO TIME!

GOod news! YAY!
THough I would have been really pissed about that.
Glad to hear a lot of use are having good appointments so far.
Mine is Wednesday so we shall see what is happening, my doctor is out of town so I get to see a different MD
mrskblack11, that is the cutest little face! When we saw our little girl's face on the 3D image, it brought a tear to our eyes. Imagine what it will be like when we hold them.
36 week check up today. Baby is head down. They also did the gsb test.
Have to have a growth ultrasound because uterus is measuring 3 weeks behind. If placenta isn't doing its job correctly then we will be having a baby that day. I'm so nervous for that.
Had my 37 week appointment today. Everything is looking good. For my weird rash that appeared this weekend, the doc recommended an allergy medicine and some lanolin lotion. I'll be trying both tonight to see if it clears up my rash. If not, I'll ask again next week.
@littlechivette I am so happy to hear that they think you could go a few more weeks!
As for me, I had my 36w4d appointment today. My uterus is measuring 40 weeks! Dr says I am 1/2 centimeter dilated, 50% effaced and at a -1 station. She says I could deliver any day now!
I asked her about my plans to start Mat Leave on May 22nd (a week from Friday) and she told me she thinks there is a good chance I could deliver before then. OH MY GOD. SHIT JUST GOT REAL YA'LL!!!!

Pretty boring and quick appointment today. * Up another 2lbs * BP holding steady at 110/60 * Baby's heartrate at 153 * Measuring fine * GBS test * Once again she wishes I would stop working so I could have "me time." I think she forgets what it's like to have a 3 year old. "Me time" doesn't exist.

So I had an appointment today and MW began the palps and she said I was having BH. Wow. I did not feel any discomfort. I had a feel and my belly was super hard and tight. Few minutes later it softened and relaxed. So weird! Also she said my weight was in perfect range and baby's head is fixed and anterior position. Yay!
Just back from my 35/36 week appointment. Two weeks ago I was 1.5/75%. Today I am 3/75% and baby has dropped even lower. Doc says he wouldn't be shocked if I went tonight, and then again, I could still be here like this in four weeks. But he doubts it will be four weeks. And he also said he suspects I am going to go fast when I do and that I should call when I start having contractions every 10 minutes instead of every 5.
So there we have it. Clear as mud. But I'm off restrictions and it looks like obsessive baby watch is officially beginning.

Hi all! Just got back from mine. I went to MFM for a placenta check u/s and we are ALMOST there! Apparently there needs to be 2 cm of space between placenta/cervix for a vag delivery and I am at 1.7. So the tech thinks there is still a good chance, I will get checked again in a couple weeks. Baby looked good and was wiggling around a lot. (Also had a 3-d u/s and got to see how she looks TOTALLY like DH.) Her heart rate was on the high side for the whole scan though (160s-170s) so they made me go over to LDRP for an NST. So I literally just got home.
When I tried to look it up I didn't think those numbers were even that high, but she settled right down once the monitors were on, so apparently just a flukey thing and all is well. Apparently I am contracting, which was a surprise because I don't feel anything. I did lose half my day hanging out in the damn hospital because the resident was doing a C-section. Now I'm just back to work! Will follow up with my OB at my next appt on Monday.
34+3d appointment. Baby went from transverse to head down. Oh, thank goodness. Forgot to bring GD logs, but I've had only one spike in the past 4 weeks (because I absentmindedly stole some milkshake from DH after dinner)...
I had my 36 week appointment this afternoon which included a position check ultrasound.
The bad news is that she has moved from being head down last appointment to breech. So, now, I have a few decisions to make. Since she has been so active and mobile, we are going to do an ultrasound next week. If she is still breech, we will schedule the c section for June 3rd at 39 weeks and 2 days. Of course, I could always go in to labor before then. The decision that needs to be made is that if she is still breech next Tuesday, I have the option of scheduling an ECV for the next day with my OB in Labor and Delivery. That, of course comes with certain, small risks, all ending in getting her out then and there. I am now in the mindset that this is all out of my hands and she will come out how she wants to.
On a happier note, my BP was good, weight gain excellent, amniotic fluid perfect, placenta position was on point, and she is measuring in the 30th percentile at 5 pounds and 12 ounces.

Had my 36 week appt today, passed my NST and had my group b test (not bad at all). Doctor said I was not dilated but was 60% effaced and baby was in my pelvis at a -1. Weight gain minimal, low bp and otherwise we are both doing great!
Three more weeks (getting induced at 39+1 for GD) - can't wait to meet him!
