Hearing Protection / Ear Muffs

Anyone purchased hearing protection for their kid and found a great product?  We are going to an auto race in a couple weeks and need to buy something for Sadie. I'm browsing online and there's just such a huge range of products (and of course prices) that I'm not sure how to differentiate which are better.  These cars are super loud - I'll be wearing ear plugs as well, so I don't want to just get the cheapest ones for her.  Any tips or reviews?

WE got Henry big ear protection head phones, but he refuses to wear them, so I am no help.

I've been thinking about the same thing but haven't gotten around to ordering yet. My fear is she is going to be picky. So I plan to order a couple different sets and have her try them and then return teh sets that don't work out. I feel like some might be too heavy to be actually comfortable. I'd personally go for the set with the highest noise cancelling rating knowing how loud those races get.

We got these for Robin when we took him the Renn Faire and knew there would be cannon fire:

He wasn't great about keeping them on, but from a noise standpoint they drastically reduced the sound. They aren't child-size specific but they fit on his head just fine.

When D went to a monster truck show, we borrowed our neighbor's shooting ear muff things for him, adult size. They worked great. Not sure of the brand.

I'm glad you mentioned this because it never even occurred to me that they would have a rating of some sort (thanks, pregnancy brain).  So I found THIS set. Good ratings and they're cute!  We have adult headphones for shooting but I fear they'd be too big to be comfortable for a longer period of time; and hopefully she'll enjoy it so we can go more often!!  FX!

cookiesandwine, Those are cute! We just had a set of regular old earphones for her tablet when we are on the plane and she got fussy with those. I wonder how she will react to something bigger. But she hates loud sounds so that might trump wanting to take them off if they make it quieter. I like that these specifically mention car races.

We go to a couple vintage car drag races and it gets ridiculously loud sometimes.

Yup we're going to the NHRA races to see my brother work and my dad race!
