I'm new to threads, forums and IVF

Hello! I am 41 and scheduled for IVF for the first time in march. Ive never done this before (IVF or online forums) and am just looking for a place where I can hear similar stories, gain and give support. I am pretty scared but trying to stay hopeful and positive. I apologize in advance if i don't know the lingo

Welcome! Lots of us doing IVF here. There is a group you can join in this forum for women waiting to cycle for IVF. There should be a post on this page. You'll get a lot of great support here. GL with your IVF in March! It's not so bad...the injections are pretty easy. I think the hardest part is the emotional side of it. Lot's of ups and downs...and lots of waiting!

Welcome! IVF was a bit of a surreal experience for me, I remember telling my husband after the ET (embryo transfer) that I couldn't believe we'd done it. But in a good way.

Welcome and good luck! We'll be doing our second IVF in March with you I think that the lead-up to cycling is much worse than cycling itself. Once you get into a routine (and get the first few shots over with!) it's much easier and less stressful, because you have something to focus on. You can do it!

First timer here, too! I'll be cycling late Feb/early March. The most emotional point that I've had so far in the IF journey was when we gave up on the "easy stuff" and I made my IVF consultation appt. with my RE (reproductive endocrinologist). I was pretty depressed for a couple of weeks. But now I'm good, just anxious for action! I've been waiting for AF (Aunt Flo, aka my period) for at least a century and I still have to do a month of BCP (birth control pill) after that! Ugh! I just wanna do the damn thing! This place is a pretty good spot to hang out while waiting for the action! Best of luck!

Thanks so much, it's true, I already feel so much better. This process has been very isolating, most of my friends are either pregnant or already have kids. It really is refreshing to be able to reach out to people who know what I've been going through
