I just got LOs birthday / family pictures back and just curious what others do... I'm a picture freak and have tons printed that we've gotten done professionally of the kids birth on up... I have like a picture collage layed out on the wall of our living room of a variety of 8x10 & 5x7. Then on another wall I have like a shelf on Each side of the entertainment center dedicated to each child. When I order I kinda order to replace then when I get the new ones I have a hard time covering up old ones.
So what do you do... Buy and replace or buy new frames each time and find somewhere else to put the old and put the current in a visible area? Maybe you do something else, give me ideas!
We might be moving and if we do, I have a plan. I'll put the recent family, and one of each kid in the living room, a collage of baby pictures in each kids room and then put my favorite ones in the hall on the way to the bedrooms. That doesn't help me now though ?
I have the same "problem"!! I have stacks of pictures printed. I have replaced some framed wedding pictures with newborn pictures. We do have a good amount of empty wall space so I need to buy some frames for professional pics of LO (6 month, Christmas, 1 year). Working on picture frames/albums is always on my to do lost but rarely gets done. The framed pics in LOs nursery are a combination of maternity and newborn. I plan on keeping it that way.
For framed pictures, we usually change out the photo when we get new ones. So now her one year pics are in most of the frames. The exception is the frame with her six month photo on the wall, because it is a fantastic photo. I also have digital copies of everything and look through them from time to time. I like the idea of keeping a newborn photo in the nursery. I think I'll get a new frame and do that.
I took all the photos from her first year and made a photo book (12inch X12inch) with a few scrapbook pages within separating the months. Most of these pictures are from daycare with some of our pictures thrown in. I will try to do this every year. We have two framed photo's of DD in the living room that we replace with each new photo leaving the old one in the frame behind the new picture. One is her school pictures the other is her Bluebonnet picture with the dog. the rest of the photo's are in our phones. we are just not huge photo people and DH hates clutter on the walls (a bunch of framed pictures is clutter to him).

I haven't done it but I saw an idea on pinterest. It was mainly for school years and storing artwork and such from every year in one place and it be organized but it could probably work with pictures.
You get one of those plastic storage containers that have the dividers with tabs on the top and just fill in the year and store everything from that year there. They won't be out on display but you can still flip through them. I hope I described that well enough. If I can figure out how to link it I will.
oh I wish I had your motivation! I've been the worst about printing pics. I have taken tons but nothing around the house! I have two huge boxes in the closet where I can easily slip in any printed photos for safe storage and I got Groovebook for my phone because I want to make sure I keep all my phone photos....but that's about it. I'd love to have some scrapbooks and professionally done photobooks.

I'm terrible about printing new pictures, but I really need to. I have a collage frame that I bought on Black Friday that has half our pictures and half of the inserts from the store in it!!! lol But I am kind of sentimental when it comes to pictures, so I tend to pick a favorite and keep it in its frame for a long time. Still have one on my end table of my SD wearing reindeer antlers for a parade when she was 2 She is almost 8 now.
Anyway, if it were me, I would probably pick some frames where the pictures would stay forever, and others that I would regularly change out.
just fyi CVS is having a half off sale for a lot of their prints/canvases. they did a great job for SIL's shower (we got a bunch of b/w and color canvases) so I ordered one.
I have pics of DD everywhere. I have a large collage that holds 5x7s in the family room and I actually just switched out some oldies for newer ones. I have a few that are staying in larger frames from her newborn session. Otherwise my biggest pics are from December to current. I keep all my pics of her in Shutterfly. I have some ordered and in albums and working on the rest. For some reason much of the pics uploaded with doubles so going through and manually deleting each duplicate has been fun. Wahhh. I'm working on ordering some photo books from Shutterfly.
