I grew up in rural MB near the SK border. We referred to our neighbours to the west as "gappers," as in SK is "the gap" between MB and AB. All in good fun of course.
I should add that I'm moving to SK in about a month and I know my family is going to be making so much fun of me for it.

Another former rural MBer here! We also always called SK the gap or gapperland. Then I had to move there for 5 years while I went to graduate school and my family teased me all of the time about it!

Only slang I can think of off the top of my head is "out for a rip", and "hack a dart". I feel like in my region we don't have a ton of slang, mostly just a manner of speaking (fuckin' right, buddy, calling everything "her/'er", "how she goes"...). That or I don't realize what I'm saying is slang because it seems totally normal to me.
This isn't slang but represents how a lot of us talk where I live (population 6500). Also, hilarious.
I can't think of any actual slang but the local vernacular is interesting. It's more about intended grammatical errors and sentence structure than slang.

Born and raised in the gta and I don't know that one!
Born and raised near and I also don't know
Maybe it is from a more specific location, and not so broad as the whole gta. It would NOT surprise me if it came from my home town... They dont call it the armpit for nothing *hint hint* Very glad im out of there.
