Had our carpets cleaned Thursay, LO has been getting to bed around 730 all week, and we're getting better at figuring out how to entertain her because her 3rd nap is pretty much out of the question these days. So weird because she's such a great napper but she'll sleep on the way home from DC and when I used to just take her from the carseat and put her down she'd be fine. Not anymore. That car nap is nap #3 then entertain baby until bed pretty much. Have been doing nightly walks in the stroller which she loves.
So far today I went to the grocery store before H went to work, made breakfast, showered, started laundry, cleaned the bathroom and LO is 2 hours into her morning nap, YESSSSS! Hope the rest of today goes well!
Had a work event at a park today and successfully pumped twice in my car. First time away from home or my pump room at work. A small thing but was worrying about it all week.

I passed my specialized nursing certification test today! After that I had lunch with my friend and went to a few consignment shops. I found some cute and cheap clothes for LO! Tomorrow I am planning to do some gardening and planting if it doesn't rain too much. Also plan to get caught up on cleaning and chores around the house. It has been a good weekend so far!!
My mom has come over two days in a row and I have gotten sooo much done! Yesterday was around the house stuff and today we ran a bunch of errands. It's crazy how stuff that would have been no big deal pre-baby is now a big accomplishment.
Also working on getting LO to bed earlier and not necessarily feeding him every time he wakes up. (Obviously I will if he really seems hungry.)
I was so proud of myself for cleaning the bathroom which really just meant spray and wipe down stuff. That's really no big deal but post baby I rely on H to get sick of looking at it until he cleans it.
htle07, that's awesome! My yard is full of weeds and I really need to work on it. I had all these plans to do yard work, cook, and clean during my maternity leave. Yeah, not much of that happened. Also, I hope that your papaya tree bears fruit and that it's yummy!
My success is that I cooked dinner two nights this week. I cooked sausage and pesto pasta on Wednesday and pork and kabocha stew on Thursday.

Today I went garage saling (it's a word, yo). City wide garage sales so there were a TON to visit. While I didn't get a lot for summer, I got great deals on 18 month clothing that will (hopefully) fit next winter/spring. I couldn't pass up three piece Gymboree outfits for $2-$3. Oh, and the day started off at the firemen's pancake breakfast. Yum!
And now I'm enjoying Bushmill's and Baileys. Life is good.

We flew across the country with LO yesterday. No puking or diaper explosions, no screaming, no meltdowns. No running out of supplies mid-flight. He napped twice on our laps (which he typically doesn't do) and was completely charming with the people around us and flight attendants. I'm an anxious traveller (although I love new places) so this was amazing!
I don't remember much about yesterday (it was a lazy day), but DH and I had a date night last night to celebrate our anniversary! It was the first time we've been out since DD was born & it was so fun. It was awesome to eat a whole meal without taking a child to the potty or having my boob in someone's mouth! Also, the kids had a blast while we were gone, so win win
We are doing our garden a little different this year. Instead of in the ground dh built me three raised bed planters yesterday. Much smaller than what we had in previous years. But no hoeing, and I can wear the baby while I tend to it easier.
DS is tummy sleeping and we made it a whole week with only one wake up per night! I accomplished very little because this kid only takes 30 minute naps and he is way too much fun to play with when he is awake.
