Is anyone doing it? My Facebook bmb has a lot of people doing it and I just think it's really cool for broadening literary horizons. I'm on my 6th book so far.
It's cool right? I have my kids in our high school book club doing it too. The 1400 page book can be your book over 500 pages I guess haha. The hardest one to find was the one in your hometown.

I'm really hoping that this challenge can get my numbers back to where they used to be. In 2011, I read 130, but have gotten nowhere near that number in the years since.
I love this. I'm going to try it for sure. Maybe it will get me back into the reading swing I've been out of since DD was born. I've only read 2 so far. I'm so slow.

Oh fun! I've only read 3 books so far this year, but my REAL goal is to finally effing finish Pillars, even if it kills me. This will give me another goal as well.

Did yall ever participate in the reading challenges on TN Book board? It was so much fun. Plus it was a competition which makes it even more fun to go at.

@yellowwallpaper12 The hometown category is the one that's proving to be problematic for me. No one, and I do mean no one, has ever written a book set in the podunk town that is my hometown. I can't say that I'm surprised, though.

Do you guys have a better strategy for searching for some of the stranger categories than a Google search? Published in my birth year, etc? GR any help with that or I just need to keep my eyes open more?

Try doing a search on Goodreads Listopia. You can look up lists by search terms. That's how I found a book published the year I was born, for example.
