After last night's Mad Men finale, this was a tough question! I'm having a hard time deciding where to rank it because I love it so much....I think Breaking Bad is still number 1 for me, though.
1. Breaking Bad 2. Mad Men 3. The Wire 4. Parks and Rec 5. Veronica Mars
H keeps telling me that I would love The Wire, but I just need to find time to dedicate to it.
This is exactly me too. If I can make the gym a priority and finish Boardwalk Empire I could then move on to The Wire. My goal is to start it at the end of June.

It is really great, but also very very depressing and sometimes hard to watch. I really recommend it though! Each season takes a look at issues in society- like with public schools, or city politics, and focuses on that. It feels very true to life. There are so many characters it takes a few episodes until you feel like you understand what's going on- but once you do, you're hooked!
100% accurate description of watching The Wire.
I am horrified that only 3 people here listed Mad Men. Horrified.

1. Mad Men (I'm here for you, adorebel) 2. Sex and the City 3. The West Wing (Am I really the first one on this?) 4. The Sopranos (early seasons especially) 5. A mash-up of the early seasons of 30 Rock and later seasons of Park and Rec
Good call on The Tudors, joy. Definitely in my top ten!
Orange is the New Black (patiently waiting Season 3 in June) True Detective (also waiting for Season 2) House Grey's Anatomy (the earlier seasons I've watched over and over) Parenthood (I'm so sad it is over)
Big Bang Theory (I always watch them because my husband could so fit into the gang) Modern Family ETA: Forget How I Met Your Mother (I'll watch re-runs whenever it is on)
I like Orange is the New Black. I watched the first 2 seasons on Netflix in 2 weeks. Now I'm patiently waiting for Season 3 in June.

Everyone who loves BB suggests The Wire to us (and I LOVED Breaking Bad). We watched the first few episodes of S1 and I just couldn't get into it. It was a lot of cop drama and I am not into that type of storyline. People who know me well tell me I'd like the season that's school based. Can I just skip to that season or do I have to watch it all?
Not in order (and I love television so could go on forever but I will limit myself to 5) ...
- Breaking Bad - The Walking Dead - Gilmore Girls - Doctor Who - Dexter
And Dexter! Damn maybe I should have done top 10
I could probably fill a top 20. I watch too much TV.
I just started The West Wing. I love it. I also feel like I need to watch Dawson's Creek. My mom never let me watch it when it was originally on because it was "too scandalous" lol.

Everyone: If you were paid to binge watch an entire series (JUST ONE) straight (sleeping time is allowed) by yourself (no kids or SO), which would you pick?

I can't hardly look at this thread any more because it is giving me anxiety. I won't answer this. I won't do it!!!

Game of Thrones
I've already done this (for free unfortunately ) with Buffy a few times so it's time to re-watch a new series all the way through!
easilyunamused, where is Mad Men in that list? I would agree with you almost 100%, but Mad Men is hands down the best for me. Even MH, who loooved The Wire and Breaking Bad and thought the first 3 episodes of Mad Men were a little boring, was totally converted to Mad Men obsession when he finished all of season 1.
I was just telling MH yesterday that we need to watch Mad Men! I'll put it on my Netflix today. I don't know why I never got into it in the first place.

Oh I love house of cards too!
Anyone looking to watch the wire, the first 2/3 episodes are a snooze, but it helps set up the series. We watched the first couple, thought no way will we waste our time. Then went back to it and got hooked.
