LO must have been tired out by the visit to the grandparents yesterday. She was asleep by 10pm and stayed that way overnight. She awoke at some point in the night as I heard her babbling and rustling, but I waited for it to escalate and she must have fallen back asleep. Yay for not having to get up.
Getting ready for a crazy week where 4 of 5 days will be earlier than normal. That doesn't mean work ends earlier. Just starting earlier.
I now have firsthand knowledge of the whiny baby. Aaaalllll night long. Re-binkied, fed, changed, rocked, shushed, sang, swaddled, cuddled- and none of it was effective for more than a moment. Poor little baby, I think her teeth and her cold really got to her. I got a solid hour or so when I brought her to bed and arranged us so I was holding the binky, her arms, and her legs all at the same time. My H is so tired too, he texted that he's on his second jug of copy. Haha! Made me laugh.
We are off to the doctor this morning after our scary weekend. Lo is super fussy and literally pooped a lake this morning it was completely liquid :-( I'm tired of baby poop.

gldnbearz - Good luck with your crazy week!! Those are never any fun! And ugh to clogged ducts. I had one over the weekend, but was able to unclog it. I'm not a big follower of Dr. Sears but the sites advice on how to manage a clogged duct was very helpful to me this past weekend. zengal - You sound like quite the contortionist to be able to hold that position with your LO. Nice work!! spikesmom - Oh no!!! I was really hoping your LO would be feeling better. Praying he feels better soon!
Last night LO slept until 12:30 am, I went in and nursed him and put him back in his crib. He slept in his crib until 2:45 am. This is a new major accomplishment. We brought him back to bed and he slept until 5:30 am, I nursed him until I had to get up at 5:50 and he rolled over and snuggled with daddy until 8 am. Crazy how only that much disruption makes me feel like a new woman!! My Sister and nephew are sick today so lo is staying home with me. Should make for an interesting day.
spikesmom I hope everything is ok with your LO, and that the doctor can figure out what was/is wrong.
gldnbearz Ugh to clogged ducts. I have them pretty often... Like once a week probably. I've gotten pretty good at feeling one coming on and fixing it before it gets too bad. But I'm really sick of it and it makes me not want to nurse a day past 12 months. Halfway there!

I feel mentally exhausted. Tomorrow is our 6 year wedding anniversary and the following day is my birthday. I am so excited but so tired. I spent the weekend helping with my nieces and nephew. They were all so fussy. My nephew, I love so much but he is very spoiled. He threw the biggest fit when I told him he couldn't hook up his Xbox because we were going to the park. Then my niece freaked out because he was screaming and then I tried consoling my niece by picking her up and spinning her around. Isaac was not happy with me holding her. He cried then she cried and then I swear I wanted to cry. Lol. To top all of that, I have a cranky DH. He is so unhappy at work. I am starting to think it may be best for him to find something else. You would not believe the things he puts up with. Wow that was long and ranty. Isaac did have fun at his play date though.
Thanks ladies the doctor is doing some stool cultures to see if there is something bacterial going on. They also want me to cut dairy completely (which I will do) but I did that when he was two months before they diagnosed him with reflux and it made no difference. Is it likely that he would develop an allergy at this point? It just seems Weird it would start all of a sudden!
ninergirl52nerdalert What helps you ladies clear a clogged duct? I put on a very warm towel compress this morning for about 10 minutes when it was clear I couldn't just pump through it.
It was the perfect storm of new pump and delay in pumping yesterday since we were out at the ILs.

songbirdsinging55 - ugh! Managing 3 kids made me exhausted just reading your update. Hope you got a much needed break after that. My sister and I find watching our 2 Lo's (they are 9 months apart) to be a challenge, I couldn't imagine throwing a 3rd in the mix. Good luck to your DH finding something else. I have days in which I completely hate my job, so I totally understand. The things they expect me and my team to do is laughable.
spikesmom - That is weird on the dairy. Its probably a standard protocol, but I'd be surprised if he has suddenly built up a resistance to it. My 10 month old niece recently had terrible diarrhea and fevers that spiked at 104.7. Her's turned out to be bacteria related. Hoping your LO is on the mend soon.
gldnbearz yay for not having to get up and good luck with the early mornings. I hope your clogged duct went away, those are terrible.
zengal all the coffee for you and your husband today lol. I hope you all sleep better tonight.
spikesmom I hope your LO feels better and that your doctor appointment goes smoothly. Keep us updated.
ninergirl52 thats adorable that LO snuggled up with dad. I'm glad you got a little more sleep!
songbirdsinging55 yikes that sounds like a hectic day! Sounds like you did great I hope your husband can find a job he isn't miserable at, it makes such a difference.
It took me forever to post my first one, so by the time I did there were more updates. LO slept pretty well again last night and I'm wondering if the crib is more comfortable. I haven't worked up to leaving her there for the second half of the night. We need to get blinds in her room. Also, I swear the mornings DH is around to help Claire and I get ready it takes longer and I'm late to work. He can move so slow haha. Plus it doesn't help when she has a massive blowout right before you walk out the door. I hope everyone has a great Monday!!
Another unicorn night last night! He woke up a couple times but only needed repositioned because he was trapped in the corner lol. Can't wait until he has a bit more control of his body and can get himself out of those predicaments. He wound up in bed with us around 6 am. I fed him a bottle before he fully woke up hoping he would go back to sleep. And he did! H and I woke up around 8:30(!) and imaginary high fived while Liam stayed asleep another 15 min.
We went to a nutrition workshop today. Specifically for children nutrition. It was fun and a very good refresher. I wound up helping the dietitian answer some questions lol. Maybe she'll hire me? Haha (I don't need one more job- though it would definitely be fun)
Hahaha sadie74 no, the massive blowout right before you leave is not helpful!! (And that happens to me all the time with the posting while updates are happening. I just pretend like I meant to post two three times in a row.
Oh I forgot to mention re: nursing to sleep. I thought I read something (I'll look for it) that compares nursing to sleep vs drinking from the bottle to sleep. Bottle drinkin definitely leaves a pool of milk/formula in the mouth and shouldn't be done. BUT because of where the nipple is when nursing it doesn't really pool/stay in the mouth and thus being okay to nurse to sleep??
jjh1119 yay to all that sleep and getting to wake up a little before LO and enjoy it! That's interesting about the nursing to sleep too. I like that theory! Haha.

Is it just my kid or does anyone else's not only poop at in opportune times but once the diaper is off & cleaning has commenced, they poop more?!? Mine is notorious for that ... He then starts kicking his legs. Needless to say this morning I had to clean up poopfest 2015 ... One outfit (pants, shirt, socks) changing pad & liner, 1/2 a box of wipes, my hands (of course), lo's feet & legs & a new bag in the diaper pail. Meanwhile our toilet was over flowing. To say I had a shitty morning is an understatement.
ninergirl52, whoa! The leg kicking is the worst lol. Liam has found his favorite toy that only is available during diaper changes and bath time- can you guess what that is?? He grabbed everything one time and shoved his fingers directly into poop. Gross. Had to then drop his legs so I can clean his hand and then he got it on his foot and leg, ugh. Usually the poop tends to go more toward the back and not the front so it doesn't happen often. But that sucked.
Speaking of, any moms of boys' experiencing the curiosity of the greatest toy of all? lol
gldnbearz For me, the thing that CAUSES the clogs is using the nipple shield. We still use one about 80% of the time. LO is more willing to latch without it on my right side. So when I feel one coming on, I REALLY try to get her to eat without it. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. In addition to that, a hot pack and/or a hot shower and some Advil works for me. I've never had much luck with either massage or pumping.
ninergirl52 and jjh1119 the other morning LO was in her pjs and I noticed she was wet so I went to change her. There was hardly any poop in her diaper but it was all down her leg and pooled in her foot. How? How does that happen?!
jjh1119 hash I've never thought of that with boys. No help here because I have a girl, good luck! Lol.
jjh1119ninergirl52 My little girl discovered her greatest toy of all prior to our four-month appointment, because I remember mentioning it to the pedi then. Yes, I have to wash her hands too after diaper changes!
