UO: I like having dandelions in my yard and think they are pretty.
Random: I've finally accepted that my feet are a size 12 and I can no longer buy shoes in any store. Currently online shopping for new sneakers and one pair of dress sandals that will match 3 different dresses I have to wear to weddings this summer.

Wishing you comfortable shoes! (I finally came to grips with being a size 10 a few years ago.)

Random: DS has broken a few of my plates since we started letting him use the real stuff a few months back. It got expensive to replace them, so I bought Corelle this weekend and let him help pick the pattern.
redfraggle I love corelle because of the durability! We've been using them for a few years now and I rarely (read: never) pull out my "better" dishes.
jnetx sorry about the extra work with the fleas. It's tough to get rid of those little things!
We are TTC and I'm stressing over when I ovulated/if I ovulated yet, charting, etc. I need to just chill out, relax and enjoy the ride. This is our first cycle trying and I feel like a complete nutcase already.
ETA: I saw FIL yesterday and he made the comment to me that he thought I would have a nice tan by now (because I'm a SAHM). I replied back to him with "what do you think I do all day, lay around in my bikini?". Gesh.
redfraggle, fiveohfive, I feel your pain. However, I have the opposite issue. I have small feet. I wear a 4 1/2. I thought my feet would get larger after being pregnant. Nope. Nordstrom is the only store I can go to buy shoes and online.
jnetx, I hate fleas. We had to flea bomb to get rid of the fleas.
DD spent the day in the 2yo class at daycare today! They told me this morning they were going to have her start visiting in hopes that it helps with the biting issues as well as avoid yet another transition in August when baby brother is born. She was a mess when I picked her up but looked like she'd had a really good day!
I'm excited to see the changes in her with older classmates!

Aside from a bit of a messy house, after a prodcutive weekend I feel ready for this baby to arrive. The bags are packed, the nursery is done, and if she were to come tonight I can finally say that we'd be prepared.
That said, I hope that we've got at least a week left! Haha.

I was a size 10 and have grown 2 sizes with the kiddos!
I was watching QVC at 3am the other night (thank you DD2) and discovered Cobb Hill shoes by New Balance, a mix of comfortable sneaker and dress shoe. Unfortunately I don't see any that are my style but they seem like they would be Perfect. Nike had a collaboration with cole Haan at one point too but no such luck with finding a wedding shoe yet (but lots of sneakers!)
I have posted in a while but I have a random....DD has been coughing on and off for 2 months now. We went to the doctor at the beginning because she was running a high fever, and they said virus so nothing to do. She got better then a cough started and it's been on and off for too long. Last night she woke up more times than I can count so back to the doctor today. I just don't think they are going to do anything. Her personality is fine, eating fine, drinking tons, but it just won't go away. I think it's allergies but I just hope there is something I can do about it. I'm not a medicine person at all, but I'm willing to try anything at this point!

That sucks...I hate lingering illnesses, they are so stressful. Did they ever test her for pertussis? The vaccine isn't very effective at this age so they can still get it. The cough starts with cold like symptoms but then continues for months even though they are feeling fine. It has a distinctive "whopping" sound and is worse at night. It's highly contageous, so if the rest of the family isn't vaccinated you would all get it, but if the family is vaccinated, she could be the only one to pick it up.
We went to the doctor yesterday and she said that her lungs are all clear with great (and equal breath sounds) on both sides. She didn't mention croup or whooping cough, so I"m assuming she was not concerned based on her symptoms (which she asked me a ton of questions about). The cough doesn't have the whooping sound and it is basically non-existent during the day. She said it sounds like cough is caused by post nasal drip which is what I thought because it sounds really "gunky" until she clears that through and then she's fine. She said we could give an antihistamine if we wanted and the symptoms got bad. She was fine last night, so who knows. There is a strong history of seasonal allergies on both sides of the family and this year is worse than the ped has seen in a really long time. She said even kids who never presented symptoms in the past are presenting them now so she strongly believes it's allergy related. Thanks for the suggestions though because I was definitely starting to think it was one of those things but alas we're back to wait it out.

At least you have some answers and it's nothing serious. Allergies suck though, especially when they are young and can't take much. Hopefully it will clear up soon. I've only had allergies 1 time, no history, and so far they haven't come back. So hopfully it will be a rare thing for her, they have definitely been worse this year for a lot of people.
