Explanation for what is going on over at The Bump

I seem to have missed all that went down. Can someone explain it to me? Who or what started the mass purge / exodus of regular Bump users?

"In short, new terms of service were rolled out in response to the Bump app getting terrible reviews about "the meanies." People got heated. Mods - popular mods - were banned outright with no warning. Now we're here.

Current theories [about the bannings] abound and include: Mods discussed things from the mod board with the public boards when they weren't supposed to, passing along the link to this site, and (my personal favorite) execs had it in for many posters for awhile and are using this tide to clear out all the old and somewhat edgier regs to make way for new, "nicer" regs."
