Moms of lo's already in big kid beds...... We purchased DD a full size bed that will be delivered on Friday. She hates her crib and has started crawling out. So we took the front off. She won't even sleep in it with the front off. She will only sleep on the 3" mattress pad on the floor that is only a twin size. We were thinking maybe with it being a bed she would sleep in it, maybe even better. So I was wondering when you would introduce sheets? DD already sleeps with blankets but most are small and thin. Just not sure when to start the whole sheet and comforter thing.
We have Star Wars sheets, comforter, pillow and extra blanket in our son's twin bed. He is still getting used to trying to stay IN the blankets but he doesn't seem to mind and can still get out if he wants.

I just started getting better at sleeping in sheets like 4 years ago. I hated top sheets because I always got tangled in them. We are getting E a full bed for his birthday and I am not going to introduce a top sheet for a while. He sleeps fine with blankets though.
Right now he is in a Queen bed with a fitted sheet, then all of his blankets from his crib. I think I'll probably wait a month or two to do the full sheet set + blanket + comforter thing just bc it's so much easier to make his bed in the morning when I can just fold up the blankets. Also right now his bed is pinned up against the wall so it is a PITA to make the bed.

Ellie is still in the crib, but Nathan's bed has a fitted sheet and then he uses a tie blanket and a Thomas plush throw blanket. He would sleep under 100000 blankets if I would let him... But no, he doesn't have a full bedding set or anything.
We are never leaving the cribs nope neverrrrrrr! In their cribs they have a quilt (small one I made), their lovie blankie and a pillow and fitted sheet. I am not convinced we will introduce the sheet sheet until they are much older and can actually keep things on the bed. Even now most of the time they end up just sleeping on the pillow with the other blankets shoved to the bottom of the crib.

We just have a fitted sheet and small crib quilt on DD's toddler bed. She likes to fall asleep under the quilt, but usually just kicks it to the bottom of the bed during the night. I think she would get annoyed with/caught in a sheet. I'm getting her a slightly bigger quilt for her birthday, but won't do a top sheet until we upgrade her to the full-sized bed (which isn't happening for a long, long time because she's still my little baby).
Dd is in her crib still with fitted sheet and random blankets and wiLl be that way for the forsee able future. My foster son who is 10 months older started climbing out of his crib by 18 months. He went from crib to mattress on the floor and now to a toddler bed. While the mattress was on the floor he just used a random blanket that he loved but now he has a toddler bedding set that I bought from someine on faceboOK but we only use the fitted sheet and toddler comforter.
We've been using a sleep sack and the crib still, but we are going to be busting that wide open in a couple weeks. He's sleeping in a PNP right now while we visit my parents in AZ and is bundled under blankets, so I think he will make the transition easily. I plan on tucking the blankets really good by the feet and sides to help him stay under them at home.

We switched DS2 to a bed around christmas and at the same time, went with sheets, comforter, the whole 9 yards. He usually does come out from under them at some point. I always check on him before I go to bed and cover him back up. Who knows how long it lasts, but it makes me feel better
Ds is never allowed to leave the crib. He loves it again goes immediately to sleep.
Dd, who is almost 4, still doesn't use a sheet. She is squirmy. She also used her toddler bed comforter, as her blanket. It is a security item, it usually goes everywhere with us. Once she is good and asleep, I put a second blanket on her to make sure she stays warm.
