Infantino makes an elephant for like 12 bucks. Made from the same stuff. We don't have a Sophie, but he likes the elephant by infantino. I don't think he will miss out on his childhood not having a Sophie

My LO will gnaw on his for a bit but isn't overly interested. DEFINITELY over-priced.
My UO I realize I'm talking about something that is 6 months away, but I get completely and utterly overwhelmed at the idea of an over the top first birthday party. I'm already stressing about LO's 1st birthday (which DH thinks I'm nuts about) because of all the people that think they are going to be invited and are expecting (since I'm a wedding planner) I'm going to host some big party. Basically my UO is I generally hate the idea of these perfectly themed, pinterest birthday parties.
No Pinterest bday party here. The only request from a fellow November child is to not have the birthday party on thanksgiving.
My poor cousin still remembers growing up know thanksgiving was his bday party but almost all the guests always forgot it was also his bday. Soooo almost no happy birthdays and forget about gifts haha.
Aw man, I'm unpopular in UO. My baby is infatuated with her Sophie! Her face lights up and she shakes her head back and forth when I get it out. I don't necessarily love my medela pisa but I don't have any complaints about it. I just let it run for a few minutes to get the condensation out. I can't imagine loving any pump... I don't want a crazy first birthday party for baby -and if you don't want to throw one ninergirl52 you shouldn't feel obligated! I won't have any theme. Just a gathering of close friends and family and cake. Of course cake.
I've been trying to think of a UO and this doesn't really fit, but: I don't Pinterest or Twitter or Facebook or Instagram. I have no idea what people are referencing most of the time, basically.
I have one... I am not a huge fan of most music. I can tolerate it for a while but then it just irritates the hell out of me. I do however enjoy classical music on occasion if its performed live. Otherwise give me talk radio (npr junkie here) or beautiful silence....my H is the exact opposite and always has some type of music going. Long Car rides together are awful

I wanted Myles to love Sophie. I even tried again today. Why won't you love her? WHY?
Give me NPR over music any day.
I don't have a clue what we'll do for a first birthday party, but it will probably just be family. I guess it's possible that Myz will have a bunch of friends by then. If so, I guess I can learn how to Pinterest and figure out a party that will make all the moms jealous. Then I will learn how to Instagram so everyone can see what a phenomenal mom I am.
I always thing of UOs during the week, but never remember when there is thread.
-I bought the elephant that is similar to Sophie, LO is interested in it every once and a while, but usually the dog ends up with it lol. -Medela is the only pump I've ever used and I thought the condensation was normal for every pump. Hmm... - I love music, but need some talk radio in there to mix it up. ninergirl52 the idea of a first birthday party overwhelms me too. I feel like the grandmas will be more into it than me and then I feel bad because I'll just want to eat cake and give her some gifts.

Haha! You keep talking like this and I'm going to have to designate you my new probe crush!
spiraltheory and spikesmom I do not understand the not liking music thing! I listen to music all the time. And I play my guitar for LO. I'm hoping she'll be interested it playing it too someday. So far, she's interested in eating it. Ha!
We don't have a Sophie either.
I just want to get some video of LO eating a cupcake for her birthday.
I have Facebook and Pinterest. I can't do more than that though.
My late UO: I think Snapchat is stupid. I'll admit I've never used it, but the concept just sounds annoying to me.
I always thing of UOs during the week, but never remember when there is thread.
Same here!
I am looking forward to planning LO's first birthday. I love throwing parties but I don't get the opportunity to do it often. I also love baking and can't wait to make LO's birthday cake I made my own wedding cake.
I'm with you sadie74, I've only ever used a Medela and assumed the condensation was normal. Guess it isn't?
I don't want to throw LO a big 1st party but I do want to make him some cute cookies and a cute outfit to take his picture in.
I'm a day late but my UO is coming from living in the Indiana. It is the Indy 500 this weekend and I don't get why anyone is interested in it. Sure, most people are just going for the party and alcohol - but even that has never sounded fun. Who wants to sit all day at the burning hot track and have their ears blasted by cars? No thanks.

I was a music teacher up until LO was born, but I am really not a fan of much music from 2000 till the present day... give me music from any decade before 2000 and I am good. I have a hard time calling half of the artists out there lately musicians. NPR is on in my car more than anything else. We have Sophie and he'll play with it for about 20 seconds and then finds a blanket and finds that way more interesting then Sophie. UGH! His first Bday.... yeah I am also stressing about it. MH's family invites all of his aunts, uncles, cousins, and all their kids. That means we are going to have 33 people at his birthday!!!! What!!! that seems crazy to me!! I was planning on having it at our house. Yeah I don't think that is going to work! But I know if we didn't invite them all there would be a huge controversy. So yeah I guess we're going to have to rent someplace and not have the ideal bday that I had thought about. Oh well. MY UO... I can't help it but I really like reality tv. Not like bad girls club or the housewives of... wherever. But things like Masterchef, Survivor, and admittedly the bachelor/bachelorette.

yeah neither have I. College in South Bend area and now living in NW IN, about 40 min to Chicago. I think the last time I went was a year ago lol (I'm so boring!). I like IN don't plan on moving anytime soon.

nerdalert - I think snapchat is dumb too. I only have FB because I don't have a business webpage but I do have an FB page and you have to maintain a personal page to have a business page. I post almost never. Pinterest I admit to loving ... its where I get most of my recipes. No idea what the rest of them even do, but they sound obnoxious.
singingmama10 - I'm with you on music prior to 2000. I hate the turn country music has made. Pop is laughable, and rap I can no longer handle. I'll take George Strait, Tom Petty and the Beastie Boys ANY DAY! I'm home 90% of the time so when I do have the radio on I listen to music. My DH is constantly in the car for his job so he always has talk radio on. I can handle it for about 10 minutes, but then it seems like whoever is talking has started to yell. Drives me crazy.
sadie74catlady22 My-at-home pump is a hospital grade Ameda. The one at work is a hospital grade Medela and I have a PISA. There is never moisture in the Ameda tubing.
gldnbearz huh, who knew! I wondered about replacing the tubing on my freestyle because of the cloudiness. However, I really can't complain about my medela since I have never had any issues with it being effective.
I don't understand the point of people arguing a certain point. Each person usually pretty stubborn and it just leads to a fight. Can't everyone just agree to disagree and skip the pointless anger? (This is just a general thing, nothing specific that I've seen here)

Music - I actually love music, but mostly older stuff. It's just that I love NPR while I'm driving. I don't think I could listen to other talk radio though. So much of it is ragey and one-sided.
I love music, but only in the car or while cleaning. I enjoy singing along, and grew up as a dancer, so love to dance. But I hate background noise other than while cleaning. H is the opposite and is always listening to music. All the time. I actually rather just work at home because he's got music playing in the office. When he's home, he has one ear bud in when he is working, so i don't have to listen.
