So my UO then is I think that's bullshit. If you chose not to vaccinate your child for personal/religious reasons you should not be allowed in schools. That is just putting at risk the kids who cannot be vaccinated due to medical reasons.
To oversimplify it... It's a no no. Attempting to depict something that cannot be depicted is an insult to Allah. Also the feeling that depictions will create false idols.
Also common in Judaism and Christianity, no?
I mean is there a bigger extent?
Images of Jesus are everywhere: paintings, kids movies, him on a cross, plays, books. There's a weird painting in my old church's nursery with him baking bread and fixing a car!
I miss when DH had a beard! I had only known him to have facial hair the first three years we were together, then his new job didn't allow any facial hair, well just a small mustache. So he's clean shaven now and it was really weird at first!

Same with my DH. He's been clean shaven for almost 6 years because of his job. He tried growing a mustache, but it just made him look like a creep, so I made him shave it off. He has a "baby face" without facial hair.

I'm picturing coveralls with an apron over it, wrench in one hand, pan of dough in the other... but how does a car fit into the kitchen?
Nope. As long as a dr signs off that there is a medical reason or they get a religious exemption thing then they still get to go.
It's crap like this that makes me want to put DS in a bubble. At the very least I'll probably seriously consider home schooling. It's something I've always thought I would want to do with my children, but I very much worry about the socialization they would be missing out on.
I'm planning to home school, and if the thought of your kid being among unvaccinated kids freaks you out then you might have a really hard time with it (at least, if your home school community is anything like mine). I don't like it at all, for at least two reasons, that some parents choose home schooling because they hate vaccines that much.
Also, why is socialization the one thing everyone picks to worry about? (That can be my UO I guess: socialization isn't a concern for home schoolers unless you never leave your home.) Public school clearly has problems in the kinds of social experiences kids are having. Homeschooling is getting more common, so there's a reasonable chance of finding other home schoolers to be social with during the day, or your kids could play with kids who go to school when they get home.
...and now I've typed school so many times that it doesn't look like a word anymore. school school school. Schoooooooooool. Blerg.
dh messes up his trim every once in a while and just shaves his whole beard off. it's makes him look like such a baby so i prefer the furry look.
This exactly. I much prefer the bearded look on DH. MIL thinks it's just because she wants him to be shaven and I'm trying to bug her. But he looks so babyface when it's shaved - and he rides a harley and it's just hotter with a beard.
I hate peanut butter and chocolate. I love caffeine but hate that I am limited now bc of BFing. I'm not religious so draw a picture of whomever you want. Non-vaccinated kids should not be allowed in public schools. DH has a man bun and goatee. He doesn't grow enough hair to have a full beard or he would. I don't like ice cream.
On the topic of vaccines... If kids are going to be allowed to go to school unvaccinated then the teachers should be allowed to know what students aren't. I know, closed health records and all. I have a right to know what kid is exposing my children and myself to diseases. (I stay home now but before and in the future). I might even go so far as to say the parents in that class should be informed that someone in the class isn't vaccinated and have the option to switch classes. Theres all kinds of issues that come with that but still. So not cool.
Maybe those families should just live on an island and never leave....
J/k. Kind of.
I so agree with you! I am a teacher and really would like to know if I am potentially exposing my child to any diseases that he has not yet been vaccinated for.

They are two separate images but it's Jesus, so I'm sure he could do both at once.
