Northern Illinois Ladies - possible GTG?

So I'm traveling down to Northern Illinois Friday June 5th for my SIL's baby shower in Rockford. Would anyone be free/interested in meeting me for lunch or an early afternoon activity? I'm happy to meet somewhere east of Rockford but would rather not drive all the way to Chicago since I'll be driving from MN (about 5 hours already). No pressure if people are busy and/or working, but I don't get down there often and have much free time since we're always visiting family when we're there. Let me know if anyone wants to get together!

Unfortunately I work that day, otherwise I would definitely meet up! Even though I work every other weekend it always feels like the stuff I want to do is on the weekends I work

I would totally be in to do this again cookiesandwine! I was also thinking about making a trip to Miller Park Zoo in Bloomington some time this summer, not sure if that's too far of a drive for you though.

Oh no that's just a little over an hour for me, not too far!  Let me know and I may have to play that one by ear depending on how brave I'm feeling after baby #2 lol. I've also heard good things about the Children's Museum in Bton, and the zoo in Peoria is nice too (though I think Peoria is farther for you).

Peoria is almost 2 hours from me so doable but would probably rather do Bloomington lol. I'm off on Tuesday and Thursday's so maybe we could do one of those days, less people traffic! I haven't heard of the children's museum there cookiesandwine, but I think Elise would love to go to one!

Is it totally wrong to be thinking about how to bribe my mom who is planning a girls trip to plan something somewhere where I can escape for a few hours and meet some bumpies in secret? If it's wrong I don't want to be right.
