I found this while lurking on another board!

It seems the default setting includes your email address in your profile. Yikes! To change it...
Clink on my profile---> Edit Profile--->Privacy--->Email visibility drop down, select "share with staff only"

An additional note to everyone, when you're changing your email settings, look over everything under privacy, I actually didn't know I was a little more "visible" than I would have liked so you all might be in the same boat.

you have to have SOMETHING as an email address.  I made up a total nonsense gmail one, logged in a single time to validate it, and that's that.

Thank you for posting this Poppy! I thought I fixed my security settings before, but after double checking, I guess I hadn't!

Also wanted to add, there was a section on there that controls who can see your posts/information I believe, it gives the options for members only, or public. I set mine to members only just in case...
