I actually have an appointment tomorrow morning. I've been diagnosed with hypertension (high blood pressure) and I know that the medication I was on is a Class D for pregnancy. I stopped taking it as soon as I got the positive BFP, but I will have to get a new prescription for something else. They are just setting me up in the system and doing blood work. I assume I'll have to go back in a few weeks for my dating ultrasound.
Since I had no period between my ectopic/miscarriage and this pregnancy, I'm in a bit of a pickle as the OB refuses to believe that I know my O date using BBT. Grrrrr. I'm traveling now but they're still making me get betas so they can "figure out" how far along I am. So I guess I'm getting some blood taken today!

Thats dumb. But at least you're getting in early to confirm!

I called my doctor's office and talked to them today about scheduling an appointment earlier than normal since I lost the last one. Usually, they just do an "intake" appointment around 8 weeks to confirm pregnancy and then send you on your way with some pamphlets. I really, REALLY wish they would schedule an ultrasound. The receptionist said they might want to schedule blood work, so they're supposed to call me back.
Just scheduled my first appt for June 30th- right around 8 weeks. This is the first time I have this doctor during first tri, so I'm not sure what they'll do. They're calling in a prescription for progesterone for me because of my loss history.
I actually had my first appointment today. It was just a boring one, though. I met with the midwife and she gave me a pap smear, answered some questions, and they took blood for testing. My US is in 2 weeks on the 15th. I'm so excited for that!
I'll have an ultrasound with my RE sometime next week, and I just scheduled my first OB appointment for June 25 at 8 wks. I'm so excited to see our little nugget!
I'm calling my OB tomorrow, hoping to just go in for an ultrasound in 2 weeks! Our last loss was right around 6 weeks, so I think they'll definitely let us have an ultrasound! Can't wait to see the little gummy bear!!!
I was actually supposed to start testing with an RE, so they did a blood test to confirm, and then sent me back to my GP, so I have an appt with her for a referal to an OB the end of next week. Although there's a midwife practice I may also consider.

My first appointment is with a nurse on June 11th, I assume to go over the basics and talk about any medications. Then they scheduled me for an appointment with the doctor on June 16, so I will be 6 weeks. They didn't let me know if they will be doing an u/s but I hope so!
I haven't called yet, but I'm sure it'll be in July around 9-10 weeks. They don't generally do an official ultrasound until 20 weeks unless for dating purposes or if something seems wrong, but my doctor has an older crappier machine on a wheeled cart she'll pull into visits and will do a quick one just to look, which is really nice. Then you can at least see the heartbeat and see the baby moving.

So apparently I have my O date really, really wrong. Just got my 18 DPO beta back and it's 6,500. Definitely way too high for 4w6d so they're having me come in on Tuesday for an ultrasound.

You were temping? Good news that it's nice and high though! Could be twins I once saw a chart for betas showing ranges for singles and multiples.

I was temping !! That's what's so weird - I was certain of my O date based on FF. Hoping I just have the O date wrong - twins would be.........challenging haha

Challenging for sure! Either way, that's nice to have good news so far

Interesting. Great news that it's nice and high though! I found this chart that lists the normal range of beta HCG for each weak of pregnancy and it looks like you're in the normal range for 5 weeks, so you might have only been off by a couple of days. Good luck with the ultrasound on Tuesday!
I couldn't get in to my Dr's until the 20th and that's just for blood work. In Canada, we don't get u/s until week 12 (or at least that was my experience last time, with no high risk). So it'll be mid-end July before I get an u/s.
Well I decided to call and make an appointment. I was going to wait a week or so but I know my doctor gets booked up so just went for it. I'm scheduled for June 24 and I'll be just about 7 weeks at that time. I know they won't send me over for an ultrasound but my doctor might wheel one in. I hope I can see a heartbeat at this visit, so then maybe we'll share with our parents after that.
