Poll:Do you apply "stuff" on your LO's butt at every change?

Related to the last poll, now I need to know the next step of your diapering habit!

What "stuff" do you slap onto LOs' butts?

Only if he has pooped and before the night, using weleda calendula lotion

I put good old Vaseline over DS' butt, ball sac and thigh folds at every diaper change. Keeping that little butt soft!

I only apply cream if he is showing any irritation or right before bed when I remember to do it.

Buttpaste for an irritation or rash (only had 2 so far)

At bedtime and before daycare I apply Burts Bees cream to powder and then I spray him with Bordeauxs rash preventer.

I put buttpaste on if there's visible irritation, but most of the time I think it's from wiping her folds. We haven't had a rash yet. I don't do it often.

I voted team nah, but I have put aveeno diaper cream on him a handful of times if he's looked red. But seriously less than 10 times in his life. No rash yet. Knock on wood!

I put cream on if there's irritation, which is very rare, and before bed since it's likely she'll be in a wet diaper for many hours.

She gets A&D or Desitin at every diaper change. Preventing rash as much as possible.

If he is looking red we'll do either Bourdeux butt cream or Aquapher. Its pretty rare he needs it though.

Interestingly, DH does wipe LO down after pee diaper changes. I don't and he side eyed me for it. Whatever, LO's skin has been really good, so I don't think anything we are doing is hurting him.

LO had a red bottom in the NICU and desitin didn't work so his pedi recommended Triple Paste. A little expensive but it cleared it up fast. We use it every time.

Desitin is useless on DS too. I really like the Bordeaux Butt Paste in the red tube.

We only use CJ's at the first sign of any irritation. No need to use it at every diaper change IMO.

I only put cornstarch based powder on (gasp). She has never had a rash. I love powder and I'll still even put it on DD1.

DD1 constantly had irritation as a baby so I used butt paste.

I do give him naked time first change of the day to let him dry out and let his nether regions breath.

I also only add some butt paste if there's irritation. He did get a bad rash once and I used the extra strength desitin, which worked well.

Yep, I give her a little diaper free time to "air out". Plus, I get to watch a cute little naked baby
This morning she peed on my bathroom rug though, so it's not always a good thing.

I was just thinking this exact same thing. DS would pee everywhere if I have him naked time. You are not alone.

Ya things have been peed on. Usually I lay him down on a towel or something similar to catch it. But he loves being naked, and I think it does help.

We don't do diaper free. Every baby is different.

+1! I put a little powder her after every change and we have never had an issue. So little infact I have a bottle upstairs in the nursery and one down stairs on the change station and they maybe 1/4 gone? I feel like they will last forever. It's the only thing I have ever used on her.

The only time I 100% put anything on is after his bath, baby powder. Every so often I will put powder on, but rarely.
