So I pretty much contracted all throughout the night. Not too painful, but enough to keep me awake. And every time I tried to change positions, I would have a pretty strong contraction. For a few hours now this morning (still in bed), I've been having menstrual like cramping to go along with it, which I really haven't had much of before. I'm starting to get a little nervous because I feel like I've been having that prodromal (sp) labor for a good week now and I have a feeling that my body has been making slow progress, so if my water were to suddenly break, I could go pretty fast. Of course, I really have no clue. I wish so badly my appt was today instead of tomorrow so they could tell me where my dilation is at. Ugh. I'm freaking out a bit (again). I hate being 20-25 minutes from DHs work and 40 from the hospital, plus lining up someone for my daughter.
Sorry to hear about that junch817! I've been having a similar experience (with the contracting and cramping) but only for the last few days and I'm not even full term yet (will be on Thursday) so I'm just telling myself it's labor prep and choosing the be hopeful that it's going to serve to make my labor easier in a couple weeks. But I'm super close to my midwife and hospital and dh's work so that helps with any worrying.
My rant is NPR, but holy smokes I am fuming mad right now and don't have anywhere else to spew my angry hateful venom. Lol sorry y'all have to be the recipients.
I'm going to try not to make it super long for your sakes and because I genuinely don't have time but I'm royally pissed at my FIL, who FOUR times in the past month has blown off my husband and been totally careless in the way he treated him... I have been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt because even though I know him to be a very manipulative person, it has never come out in such a way directly towards my husband. So I've been stewing on that and trying to convince myself that it's all just coincidence or that they (in-laws) really are just super consumed by the care of FIL's mom and that they really are financially strained right now (even though it's really hard to believe that because he makes more on a "bad month" than we do in a year, but whatever.) I've told myself that it's just me being hormonal and weird, but then last night I was on Facebook and saw where FIL had set up this elaborate, all day, hundreds-of-dollars "scavenger hunt" thing for his daughter (my sister in law), taking her to all of her favorite shops, restaurants, etc. and lavishing her with notes and gifts and surprises all day long for absolutely no reason. This is after we were told on FRIDAY that they were way too busy and "broke" to even meet up with DH on his BIRTHDAY.
Seriously. what the actual fuck.
I love my SIL and she deserves the surprises, but REALLY? There is no way I can overlook that as anything other than passive aggressive, manipulative behavior coming from FIL. (And MIL plays a part in it too.)

Thinking I lost some of my mucus plug this morning....maybe? #FTMproblems Besides that the cramping and BH were crazy all last evening and throughout the night. My drive home from work (45 min) was basically 1 long giant contraction. FX there's some more progress at my next appt because I'd prefer to go into labor on my own rather than be induced!
My local pharmacies offer the shot, I don't think it's that big of a deal to not get it from your ob @kej0004
Having horrible SI pain today. I can barely walk. Fingers crossed I can get in to see the chiropractor today. Bpp in 45 minutes. Laying on my back should be fun. Not.

Lots of contractions last night... they would go in spurts of being timeable enough to go in, but then would space further apart... Contractions (er... BH) were enough that I actually started to wonder if I was going into labor, but alas, here I am still with nothing.
I've had on and off squirts (sorry guys...) the last few days, and at first I attributed it to the fact that I was/am sick with a nasty cold, but have come to the conclusion that I believe it's pre-labor poos. I got the poos the night I went into labor with G, but after doing some online digging last night, it looks like some people get the poos a few days to a week/two/three before labor, as the body tries to empty. I'm hopeful that I don't have three weeks of poos, as my tush is already hurting! But it's all making me a bit more nervous as to when labor will be imminent!
Wow theBeeMama your FIL sounds like a real gem. Favoritism and double standards much? I don't blame you about being pissed.
@kej0004 I am definitely team, just go get the shot now yourself. I doubt your OB is going to be butthurt about it, but if he is who cares, you will feel better and that is what matters.
I found raspberry leaf tea (will not start drinking it until next week, no worries) in the grocery store this am. I went through self check out, and it wouldn't scan. Assistant came over to help me--- price wasn't in the computer, so he sold it to me for $1.00. Win!
I'm usually a pretty patient person but the last couple of days I am so not. I feel like I am going to be pregnant forever. I'm not technically due until the 21st but it feels like I will be pregnant forever, which I know is unrealistic. It feels like everything is making me want to snap.
I haven't had a contraction since yesterday afternoon that I know of. I've been having them sporadically for a week or so, but I thought they would pick up, not go away! (I'm due Thursday). No sign of mucous plug yet.
Question: Anyone else having the baby get hiccups this late in the game? I don't remember this from last time, but baby gets them at least once a day. And it also doesn't feel very low, it feels like they are centered around my left side. Makes me worry about baby's position.
Good luck @bubbs119, redlipz!!! This is the most exciting month.
Can I just say what an amazing difference 6 hours of sleep with only 1 pee break makes? I am on a roll this morning. Called UppaBaby about a broken part when we put the stroller together and they could not have been nicer. They are sending a replacement part right away, no questions asked. Registered both the stroller and car seat, am getting all wedding/baby shower RSVPs out and ordering gifts so I'm not behind and I am planning to run up to do some returns at the mall this afternoon.
I guess knowing I will have an outside baby in 3 days makes me want to do ALL THE THINGS!
veggiemo lots of hiccups here still. And yesterday I felt them around the same place you mentioned. They are usually lower. I still don't know that he moved (flipped) because I'm having more pressure than ever in my crotch. Could've just been they way he was laying or tucked up in there.

I feel hiccups like 3 times a day at least. I feel them very low centered and around my bum.
With my last pregnancy around this time I felt them on my right side, and sure enough Lo's head was wedged in my right hip and stayed there until about 2 hours before I pushed him out. Hopefully that isn't the case for you, it made for a very late baby and a very long pushing stage. Still time to go back to head down if that is the case at least
Oh no DROP BABY, DROP!!!! Guess I'll see what the doc says on Thursday morning...

Yeah, my hips and pelvis have been sore since Sunday morning. I thought OH GOOD the baby dropped! But now these hiccups on my left side have me worried. Damn it.

39w4d here... nothing to report. All kinds of non-painful BH but nothing to show for them yet (baby still high and barely dilated). Going for a walk today. Otherwise feeling more or less good just ready to make some progress... although not quite ready to share my little buddy with everyone else yet
Still contracting but I've been able to sleep in between. I'm so sleepy, haven't been timing anymore but they have spaced out. We will see what happens(: thank you girls!

Just found out I'm GBS positive. I feel so sneaux flakey today, but y'all, I just want to go home and cry. This really doesn't even matter, I just am so freaking tired of doctor shit at this point. Wah wah wah.
But I'm glad to hear your ridiculously long wait was worth it, @bubbs119! Here's to a safe and easy delivery for you and baby!
Sorry about the GBS status...I know I'll feel the exact same way if they tell me I'm + at my appt on Friday:( hugs!
