Lo has been going down at 8, up at 1, 4 and 5. No poops for us thankfully but last week he was peeing thought all the things! We bought one size up of the Pampers Baby Dry diapers and they're my godsend!! No more washing sheets every day!!
gldnbearz, sending good vibes for a good night sleep tonight!!
LO was up more often than usual last night. Now she's on the floor whining because she's tired but refuses to eat or sleep. I feel like I have a toddler right now, not a 6 month old, haha!
We had night 2 of horrible sleep. She will stop screaming as soon as she sees one of. She even took 3 hour long naps yesterday. I miss solid periods of sleep.
She just took a 30 min nap and hopefully she'll take a long one in a bit.
littleapplemom we've been doing the same with going up a size on the pampers baby dry. It's so worth it. I hope everyone gets some naps in and lots of sleep tonight. I have unicorn sleeper in my hands but I know it won't last! I'm curious to see if it changes tonight because the last two nights DH has been working graveyard so he hasn't been home and he's the one who gets up in the middle of the night and makes noise.

What is with this terrible sleep? Myles was up multiple times last night, and once was for two hours. Ughhhhhhhhh. The only thing that I can figure out is that he is changing and learning so much lately. It's like I literally watch him learn throughout the day. I guess he is still working at night?
These babes are so funny! We just got done with a period (like weeks upon weeks) of crappy sleep, and are on day two or three now of a let's-sleep-all-the-time kick. Yesterday, after the 12 hours of overnight sleep, baby took a long morning nap, a one-hour afternoon nap, and went to bed before 8! Of course, like sadie74, I know it won't last. I love the watching them learn spiraltheory! It's so amazing. But I hope your lo starts to consolidate all that learning in good sleep, starting tonight! Yours too, gldnbearz and nerdalert and MsNicole06! I'm home again today because of the sitter's sick child. I think we'll take another walk outside and go to target to see what we can find there. I feel a little guilty because MH has been working like a madman. Plus, he started this new diet and I'm still practically doubling my calories. So I get to have fun all day with baby and eat ice cream and drink beer, while he works and "eats" shakes and carrots. I say, "teehee!" in my guilt.
I've got a little bit of a whiney guy today for some reason. He hasn't been eating as much as he used to. I'm wondering if its because we bumped up the solids to 2-3 times a day. So far today he's had 5 ounces each bottle. He skipped his last bottle last night before bed and didn't wake up till 3:30 to eat. That was only 5 ounces too.
I finally moved the PNP from our bedroom downstairs and he's been enjoying having a little free time with some toys in there. I can get some work done knowing he wont be smashing hard onto the floor when he is sitting up.
This rain sucks, I think the whining is because he is a little bored. We usually have been spending lots of time outside.

I had a crappy night of sleep last night. M slept straight through without nursing the longest he's done in forever and a half... but H was working overnight so that made me feel off kilter. Then M woke up at some point and I thought he was going to nurse, but then we both went back to sleep... but I had pulled my tank down first. So I woke up sopping wet and all hanging out.
We're shopping for a convertible car seat and let's just say, it's rough going!
wildflower810 we went with the Diono Radian RXT. Pretty pricy but I have the potential to do a lot of driving with LO so it's nice to have the peace of mind. It was a little frustrating getting it set up but its nice now and it fits in my Ford F-150 extended cab I drive for work which I was nervous about.
zengal I'm glad you're getting some sleep too! I keep telling my DH I'm going to really have to watch how I eat when I stop breastfeeding. If I kept eating like I am I could pack on the pounds really fast lol. jjh1119 we have rain here today too and it sucks. I hope you and LO find something fun to do. We finally have out six month check up today. Not looking forward to shots.

Ummm what was up with the crazy babies last night?? I literally hit my wall at 2:30 am. I had put LO down at 9:45 and I went to bed, LO promptly woke up at 10:30 and I was delirious. I would have rather not have gone to bed then have been awakened from a dead sleep 45 minutes in. Needless to say, LO came back to bed with me (DH was still up) and we went to sleep. But then, a little bear cub took over my sweet cherub's body and began to paw and claw at me for the next few hours. Finally at 2:30 am I woke from him hitting and pinching my arm. I literally yelled "ARGH" and scooped him up. DH woke up and asked (in a harsh tone) what was I doing. I told him I was putting LO in his crib and he could cry if need be but I needed to sleep. So I took LO to his room put him in his crib and walked out. Went into our guest bedroom and put a pillow over my head and laid there for 20 minutes trying to calm myself down. All the while feeling like the worst mom on the planet. But I was so tired and so annoyed because DH didn't help at all. Finally I went in and got lo, nursed him back to sleep when he woke up, dh got him and he proceeded to sleep soundly snuggled next to DH the next four hours.
Tonight's mission, I'm borrowing my sister's pack n play and setting it up in our room (we use ours downstairs every day). Going to see if I can at least get him to sleep in our room and then start inching the pack and play out every night. I might be crazy but its worth a shot. This kid has regressed big time when it comes to sleeping in his crib.
ninergirl52 DD has also regressed from sleeping great in her crib or swing to not sleeping anywhere.
DH is helping his dad apply for a job because after 34 years his school has chosen to go a different way and combine the PE position and the computer teacher position. FIL didn't have anything ready. It's been an hour and half so far. I'm so hungry. We're all going to eat after this done.
I haven't been on here much in the past month or so. I logged in today and started reading this thread and am glad I did! My little guy's sleep has been a disaster for the past few weeks too. He goes down around 7 and is up at 10, 1 and 4. After he gets up at 4, I have a really hard time getting him to go back in his crib. If he does go back down, he gets back up again at 5 anyway. It is killing me. He has been teething and learning to crawl though, so that is a lot going on. He did finally start crawling a couple of days ago though, so hopefully he will start wearing himself out more and sleeping better. Anyway, I am glad to see we are not the only ones dealing with this at any rate!
Hi ladies it has been a very busy day and we are trying to get lo to sleep in his crib because he has been only sleeping 30 minute increments unless he is nursing in bed with me. I'm trying to get him to fall asleep on his own because when I put him down asleep he just wakes up 20-30 minutes later and wants to nurse. I hate this, I'm not letting him cry but he looks so sad like mama I just want you to hold me. It is literally breaking my heart. Pretty sure he is just going to end up in bed with me because I can't withstand sad eyes...who needs sleep anyway
@ninergirl Uf! to your tough night. I hope tonight is better! MsNicole06 That's so sad about your FIL's job! Good luck on his search- Hey jac409! Yeah, sleep is definitely touch and go for almost everyone. ...but crawling!? No way am I ready for that. spikesmom my baby boycotts the binky after the first wake up and will only take the boob. Past two nights of her going back into the bassinet were a fluke. She just woke up and is now in bed with me, attached, because it's the only way anyone gets any sleep. spiraltheorynerdalert I can't do cio. If it stays like it is, I can handle that, and most certainly if that means remaining guilt-free. gldnbearz I'll be right there with you on my 8am sharp meeting and 11-hour day. Woot woot!!
What's worse than an 8-6 day? The next day starting at 7 am. I'm usually not in the office until 9am, after dropping LO off. Now I have to enlist MH for drop off and he already does all the pick ups.
zengal thank you, it helps to know it isn't just my baby (although I wouldn't wish it on anyone). I feel like such a failure because my kid won't sleep unless he is attached to me. He literally slept for an hour in his own bed around 4:00am but thats it. I did eventually get him to fall asleep in his crib after an hour and 45 minutes... I went to bed and he was up within 10 minutes. I gave up at that point and brought him to bed with me where he was perfectly happy to sleep/nurse/sleep all night. I cannot do (and don't want to do) CIO but I am pretty afraid we are going to be co-sleeping because he is just getting worse. I have to get some sleep because 10 hour work days are impossible otherwise
zengal DH has managed to get FIL a job as a study hall monitor at the high school he works at. FIL had only been part time (3 days a week) as the PE teacher for the last 5 years. So this new job actually won't be a pay cut. Plus it helps that my MIL makes a ton so FIL doesn't actually need to work.
