My first 2 or 3 AFs were normal, the last 2 have been horrible. This last one started late and lasted 10 days. WTF body. I think it takes time for things to figure themselves out, I wouldn't worry.
Mine have been out of whack. I have the Mirena, though. I was hoping that I'd be one of the ladies that wouldn't get their period for 5 years. That was wishful thinking. I get it randomly; sometimes a month apart, sometimes every other week.
I got mine right when I went back to work and have had it 3 times. More regular (despite the fact that I'm still BF-ing) than pre-baby and much longer and more painful. She's quite the little bitch.

I had a regular period 2 weeks after PP bleeding stopped, then I got the Depo injection, went 5 weeks with nothing.. And then bled for 3 months straight, which continued after I came off the Depo (my doctor had to put me on blood clotting meds to stop it). Now I get one every two weeks to a month, but temping shows I don't seem to be ovulating so.. Obviously not really a period.
They're nothing like they used to be, though. Much lighter (yippee!)

I've only had two so far but they were both somewhat normal. But I have not been getting the horrible cramps/back and leg pain that I used to get before so that's been pretty good.
I've always heard its pretty normal for your cycles to be weird for months after having a baby. With DD1 my period came back crazy heavy, with bad cramps, and on shorter cycles but got back to normal after about a year. This time around my start day is at my usual time but it lasts a couple days longer and is really heavy with awful cramps again. I'm hoping it goes back to normal soon.
I've only had one so far and it was lighter and shorter than normal. I also didn't have very much cramping compared to normal. I'm waiting for the second to come to see how regular they are.

No BC here. Had one at 2 months, the next at 6 months. Currently getting close to the next AF if I'm back on schedule (CD28). Before LO I had 7-8 day horribly crampy periods and the two so far after have been SO MUCH BETTER. Here's to hoping it stays like that.
Also in no way is this TMI. Especially after all that we've been through to this point
