Mine sleeps through the night but thrashes around searching for her paci and making crying noises. Sometimes we get it for her if she can't find it. So we don't STN but she does. So I was 2-3 times and so was DH but baby girl was out.
The convertible car seat options are amazing. I am leaning towards a radian rxt After talking to friends and reading reviews from carseatblog.org. But wow are there lots of options to choose from and a huge range in price.

nerdalert (from yesterday)... I think so? I mean, if you were ovulating right now, or in the next few days (since sperm can live inside of you for up to 5 days), you should be able to see a test turn in 2 weeks since most home tests will turn at 11ish days post ovulation. Not to get all up in your business, but do you know if your longer cycles were because you were ovulating later, or because you had a longer luteal phase? I do know that post pregnancy cycles basically start from scratch and anything you had before can go right out the window. Chances are you're not KU, though.
I'm so zoned out already today. Baby didn't go to sleep very well when it wasn't in her home. But as soon as I laid down next to her she was out for the night (woke up twice to find me but basically out for the night). Now we have a long car ride in front of us and I'm hopeful that she will make up her missed sleep then!
Hellooooo!!! Yesterday was so busy I couldn't get the chance to actually post but man was I hungry for breakfast foods all day! I could eat a lox bagel sandwich three times a day every day lol. (Eating one right now)
nerdalert I agree with wildflower810 about the 2 weeks ish for testing and pretty much being in the clear. I know my cycle is completely different since it came back. My body isn't really "showing" me when I'm fertile either and it's been a different length each month. We don't use protection but "pull n pray" during fertile times (we are going to start trying once we figure out this loan thing) yeah well yesterday was cd12 and I didn't realize lol. So yeah I forgot to look. So far we've had one oopsie with that method each month in my potential fertile window and no pregnancy. So there ha go for my tmi for the day.
I'm sitting in my living room in a quiet house. Just me and the cat. I am going to do some cleaning then grab the little man to get us ready for family photos later.
zengal hope the little one catches up on her sleep!
gldnbearz we have that same cranky pants today. Congestion as well. I dropped him off at my moms for a bit lol. Question- did your little lady have some days when she had normal bottles mixed in with her bad eating? We had one good day out of three or four of good eating. Today back to little bottles.
Oh also, I'm so overwhelmed with car seats. We have some time, though. Ours is good for 30lbs and 32inches. Liam is 19 lbs and 28 inches as of his 6 month appt less than two weeks ago. Although I think we are due for a mega growth spurt. He grew 20" to 27 inches from birth to 4 months and only grew one inch from 4 months to 6 months
wildflower810 I don't have any idea why my cycles were long... I never really paid attention to that. It only took 1 cycle to get pregnant so I never really needed to know.
I think we're going to go with the chicco nextfit when we move up to a convertible. It's expensive, but it looks awesome and I think I am brand-loyal to chicco! Lol
LO keeps trying to stick her fingers in her mouth while she nurses. I have tried giving her something else to hold, but she just lets go of it, haha. Oh well, at least she doesn't have teeth!
gldnbearz I hope you get a nap in. MsNicole06 I really like our radian rxt! It's slim width wise which was important for us and it should last her until she doesn't need anything which was a huge selling point for us. wildflower810 what car seat did you guys go with? zengal I hope LO takes a nice long nap on your drive home. jjh1119 sounds like you got some time to yourself this morning, yay! nerdalert my LO can't keep her hands still when she nurses, but I don't think she's tried putting them in her mouth while nursing lol. So I'm pretty certain that we're teething over here. It's so unlike her to be crying and in pain, but then I can't help but to worry maybe she has an ear infection? Ugh. I hate seeing her in pain/uncomfortable. She's chewing on. Everything. Also, we were up earlier than we do on the weekdays. I usually have to get her out of bed at 7, but this weekend she's ready to go around 6:30. More time together right? ?
gldnbearz i hope lo feels better and you get a nap today!
zengal ugg on the sleep, Im right there with you. Good luck on the drive I hope it goes smoothly
jjh1119 have fun at family photos today! We just switched lo to his convertible carseat this weekend. We have the chicco nextfit zip.
nerdalert we went with the nextfit zip and I like it so far except it is a little hard to tighten the straps enough (but I think it has to do with how my H installed it)
sadie74 I hate the uncertainty of not knowing whats wrong when Lo is like that. I hope she feels better.
We had the trip to the In-laws Friday night and all day yesterday. It wasn't terrible except lo used me as a human pacifier all night (more so than usual) and lo got overwhelmed by all the people about an hour before we left and my H just kept talking and talking while I dealt with a fussy tired lo :-(
I feel a little ridiculous but I hired someone to finish up all my little painting projects because I am so over it and just do not have the time. I am enjoying seeing things checked off my list while I cuddle my lo :-)
Edited because I posted too soon: I have to work a few hours today which will put me at a 60 hour work week and its looking like the next couple are going to be just as crazy. I am so sad because I feel like I am going ti miss most of this summer because we are going live in July with the project that I am working on and it is going to be very demanding of my time. I just want to play with my little guy not work crazy hours :-(
zengal We need 2 but are getting a nice one for the vehicle we do the most traveling in. A decent one for DHs car. We just don't have $600 to spend on car seats.
zengal we mostly use just my car. Whoever has the babe gets the good car. But we don't have to split pickup and drop off. I think we will still get two. One for my parents and one for me. They watch him enough where I think it will be worth it. I'm usually rushing around and don't want to have to be taking out and installing the car seat every week

For the past 2-3 weeks, we've been like that too. MH sleeps more lightly and has been getting up more to replace the pacifier.

Question- did your little lady have some days when she had normal bottles mixed in with her bad eating? We had one good day out of three or four of good eating. Today back to little bottles.
She was getting 3 bottles at daycare which were always logged as normal 5 oz. For us at home, she was taking 3-5 oz and stopping. It got to the point where she'd stop and refuse and we moved on to do other things for 20-30 minutes and offer again and she'd finish the bottle. We're still likr that some days, but it's more like she's distracted.
We were up until about 4:30am, dealing with the congestion. She felt really warm and had a fever of 101.7. Tylenol suppository to the rescue. A small feeding and she slept elevated in our bed until 8:30am. Still a bit of a fever and snotty, but not ad congested and whiny.

Posting from my phone so apologies for not tagging anyone. Re: car seats ... Is it really time to start this process? Lo is 28" & 19 lbs & is fine in his infant seat still. My sister still has my nephew in his infant seat as it goes to 30 lbs. but now you all really have me thinking.
Re: 2 weeks window, etc. I'm still in the boat of not having to worry about this. We usually have a baby in our bed so yeah poor dh ... It will happen soon .... We hope!! I'm admittedly scared though, it's been so long and it was far from pleasant for me the last time. Also no period still so I have no idea what will happen.
Yesterday was busy and we picked up the minivan finally. Yay!! Today we're laying low and trying to keep cool. It's in the upper 80's/low 90's. This is an absolute heat wave for the Seattle area. I'm sure Costco just ran out of fans.

ninergirl52 our babes are the same size lol. Mine goes to 32 inches so I'm keeping him in it until he's probably closer to 30-31 inches before I get it.
With the heatwave, at least you have ac in the car for a nice drive lol

gldnbearz, we got the Britax Marathon Clicktight. It came down to what fit best in our back seat, and what fit next to the Chicco behind the passenger seat. I'm thinking ahead and I do NOT want to have to buy a new car just because we have a second kid. My car is paid off and only has 105k miles on it. The Graco Size4Me fit... but they've had a lot of recall issues lately and I was just a bit nervous with them.
To everyone... check Amazon for your car seats. We got ours $75 off of retail there. Still expensive, but $75 is a significant savings.
Re: car seats - I think we're going to milk our infant seat as long as we can since we use ours so infrequently. I'll have to do some research for an easy light install for the next seat through. We really only use ours in the occasional cab or rental car.
LO has been having all kinds of skin issues lately and it's making me nuts. She hasn't seemed itchy but if she's having a food reaction I just want to know so I can avoid it next time!
We're home! Baby did amazingly! She has the ability to be a great little road warrior. Boy howdy though, I sure don't want to go to work tomorrow. I'd like a recuperate day. Or three.

Waving hello. I'm hanging out with family today and tomorrow at my niece and nephew's high school rodeo. Do you ever look at your family and wonder how you can be so different? I LOVE them so much, but I think we're from different planets. My husband is home by himself for the next two nights. I'm hoping he cleans and does some yard work. Having a baby is not compatible with house and yard maintenance. Thanks for all your well-wishes yesterday!
Oh, I forgot to add, my LO isn't eating well lately either. It has to be teeth, right? I'm trying not to worry. --- I misplaced the damn instruction manual for this kid.
So I power read the no cry sleep book and really like some of the ideas. One that I have been meaning to try because I've read it other places is moving bedtime earlier. We normally go to bed bye 8:00-9:00...tonight he was eye rubbing at 7:00 so we got him ready and he was asleep in his crib by 7:30 (this sounds like a great victory story)...until he wakes up screaming at 8:00 and is just now nursing back to sleep at 9:30.. The book says to try it for 10 days so I'm going to give it a shot but I sure hope it improves.
There are also some tips on how to slowly stop nursing to sleep and every wake up. I'm not sure I have the perseverance for them though. We tried one tonight and it took literally 10 tries and me basically forcing (gently of course) a pacifier on him...which resulted in the above mentioned 30 minutes of sleep.
I'm pretty sure I have created a monster :-( I am going to keep trying to integrate some of the suggestions and try not to be too hard on myself.

I sure miss you guys. Seems like no one around me understands what I'm going through so I can feel myself falling back into depression and I have this new agitation-anger problem.
I'm visiting family in another state, LO and I flew here. I had a horrible time with the airline workers, so bad that I wrote our airport a complaint letter.
LO is teething, constipated, and has allergies. (Already) he's just not in the mood for any vacation fun and neither am I now.
RE: ds chews his fingers too while nursing. He also bites his gums down until I wince in pain because he thinks it's funny. Especially when I say no.
RE: he also halfway wakes up searching for my boob to put him back to sleep... I also noticed him trying to sit forward in his car seat so definitely time for another.

Oh and eating has slowed down bottle-wise. But picked up trying to bf, which I'd bad because my supply nearly stopped once I introduced solids. He does get super excited about his Peas and Applesauce though!

spikesmom - I will be curious to hear how it goes. I'm in the exact same boat as you. I've all but given up. I'm nursing him now in hopes he'll at least start the night off in his bed. Good luck!
lovebuggies12 - I'm so sorry you are dealing with depression. You're one step ahead by recognizing your disposition. Big hugs!!
ninergirl52 I will keep you posted but I am bot super hopeful for a couple of reasons. One being that I have to have sleep to function for work and that requires me bringing him to bed with me at some point. I can only keep up the techniques so long before I give in and go to bed :-( Im hoping if I consistently do them at the beginning of the night things will improve at least a little. My nipples are literally sire from being a human pacifier All. NIGHT. LONG.
spikesmom - are you able to unlatch LO so you can at least get some sleep? My SIL had the same issue with my niece in that she would just pacify on the breast all night. You poor thing. Getting my LO to sleep in his crib has been a bit of a set back. He went into his crib at 9 weeks and slept great, for a month or two, then by the time I went back to work 4.5 months in, he started to regress (pretty sure work had nothing to do with it seeing as I work from home). Getting him down takes so long now. I nurse him, let him fall asleep, lay him down, he wakes up. Last night he shocked me though, I laid him down and he rolled over onto his tummy, so I patted him on his back for a minute and he was out. He only lasted 2 hours. But I'll take it. I'm with you though, the only way I'm going to get sleep is if he sleeps with us. I just keep reminding myself that in other parts of the world it is completely normal for babies to sleep with their parents.
