ninergirl52 he has to be deeply asleep for me to unlatch him otherwise he startles and starts rooting for a boob and starts screaming if he doesn't find it right away. I still keep trying to unlatch him or even give a paci but he wants both to do with a paci he clamps his mouth shut and flings his head around at the mere sight of a paci from me but he will sometimes take one during the day from the nanny or my H but he completely refuses a paci from me :-( I feel like I broke my baby and I do not know how to fix it. I keep telling myself it is normal in most parts of the world to sleep with lo and I have to sleep myself. I think we are going to try sidecars get his crib to see if he will sleep that way

spikesmom - You did not break your baby. Every baby is different, and he's a lucky little guy to have you!! It's all going to be a blip in the grand scheme of their/our lives right? Keep telling yourself that.

I love how we support each other here with a "babies do what they need to do" attitude. It helps so much to know that we don't have to force our babies into doing what they aren't ready for.
