Happy Sunday ladies! I popped in to give out some love tits. Seems to be my new hobby.
We are head into town to see the Red Sox and maybe wander around for a bit. I strongly dislike baseball but I greatly enjoy beer and hotdogs so this seems like a win-win for me and DH.

In regards to yard maintenance... my new neighbor came through on Friday and trimmed the entire front yard (edges, we mowed on Thursday) and the up and down the street on either side of my house. AND he took my leaf blower and blew all the pine cones and needles and stuff off my driveway.
I've been working on job application stuff all morning. I haven't even eaten breakfast yet. Now I'm starting to have anxiety over being put in this position. I just don't know what to do.
Is it the application process that's giving you anxiety, or something deeper, like the grade level you're considering or the school you're applying to?
This is such a loaded question. It is the application process that is giving me anxiety. I haven't taught or worked in 2 years since becoming a SAHM when DD was born. I feel like I am applying for nothing because I doubt people will even look at my application with a 2 year gap. I did renew my teaching certificate and add and endorsement for teaching ESE so that should help. I though I'd have a few more years at home before having to apply. DH thinks maybe he should be the one to apply because we both prefer me being at home. We just aren't sure what to do. So many feels...

Sorry you have these conflicting feelings but I would not worry about the 2 year gap!! People will know exactly why there was a gap and that's not anything my principal or I would ever consider as a negative.
Grocery store is the one thing requiring me to put on pants today. Planning for the shades to be closed the rest of the day so I can enjoy no pantalonays.
(Pant-ah-low-nays is a weird made up word in our house for pants)

ETA: I have received my Spanish lesson for the day and realize I am not an awesome word maker upper.

Speaking of lawn service, our grass is looking pretty meh lately. H has cut it but we really need to fertilize & clear out the weeds from the planters. MIL has a friend that owns a lawn company & he drove by one day & saw the yard looked like it needed a little love. Couple days later MIL says "Oh BTW [friend's name] saw your yard needed to be fertilized so he stopped by & sprayed it." Okay...cool? Thanks? That'd be great & wonderful, minus the fact that I got a bill in the mail yesterday for it! At a very discounted price, yes, but still! Why am I paying you for something I didn't ask you to do??

Uh, what?
Fuck that shit. I'd either send the bill to MIL, or send it back to him with a post-it that says "Didn't ask you to fertilize my lawn dingus".

What! Well that makes sense that I would not be that awesome to make up what I believe to be a better word for pants. Makes much more sense that I have heard someone say it before. How do you really spell it? I am sure what I wrote is not correct.
I didn't take spanish in high school so I have to admit I have no basic spanish skillz. I took German....

Just because he's a nice guy?! Or did you hire him??
Holy effing cramps. I've taken tylenol, motrin, and my daily aspirin. I'm laying down with a heating pad. But it won't let up!! I think my uterus is trying to give me a message. It says: "evacuate! I'm not needed anyway!"

Just because he's a nice guy, apparently. He says he enjoys doing it. He was working on his own yard and just took care of mine as well.

I'm watching an infomercial for the 21 day fix. They just zoomed in on a glass of wine as the girls says the best part is you still get to have wine. I feel as though they might be trying to bait me.

Wait, what, diet that allows wine?? What is the amazingness you speak of?

Morning! I'm nursing a tequila hangover and bubble-guts thanks to icaughtfire making me want Taco Bell last night. (It was worth it, drunk Taco Bell is the best!) Not to mention CD2 in all it's glory (and pain).
So today will be a lazy day. I'm making H take me to a pasta place for dinner so I can have all the bread and pasta. I can't wait.

I hope it all turns out the way you want it to. People take breaks in their careers for all sorts of reasons. If you make it to an interview, just try to convey an openness to feedback and a willingness to be coached through things you might be rusty in or need more experience with (assuming you are okay with these things). Prayers that it works out for you!!
So... I just saw pictures on Facebook of a friend of mine's bridal shower. It was a mini-wedding, complete with table numbers, assigned seating (via escort cards), elaborate table decorations, black tie attire and a professional photographer.
The seats of the bridesmaids had decorated bottles of wine (wrapped in tulle, of course) with the names and how they know the bride. The bride was in a long white gown and they did special cake cutting photos. The invitations were pocketfolds.
I had to click through the professional photos several times to be sure this wasn't actually the wedding...
