Also, my parents house is the most non-baby proofed house in the world. In the kitchen, there's a vintage sled standing up with vintage ice skates (hi, blades!) hanging from it NEXT TO a walk in fireplace with cast iron pots and pans hanging in it. I've saved my kid's life so many times today.
Also, I haven't totally baby-proofed and I don't even know how/where to begin with the details, but I know I'm missing stuff.
ag this age you kinda do it as needed. Like make sure there aren't any super sharp things on the floor or that they could fall on when they start pulling up. Gate the stairs, lock up the chemicals. Know that if it's breakable and baby can get to it, baby will break it. Plan accordingly.
Oh, that is fantastic. This, this is wine. Look at what these idiots are drinking. Look at these dicks! I mean obviously, it's not really delicious, like hot chocolate or Coke, but for wine...brilliant.

I can relate. My mom's house is so bad. No blades or walk-in fireplaces but glass knick knacks everywhere and the a big flimsy entertainment center. I have to watch DS like a hawk every time.

Cherhorowitz, it always sounds like being at my mom's would be better, but at least at home I have my own routine and am not judged for wearing soft pants for 72 hours...or for barely leaving the house in that long.
Also, my mom is a great help, but she works so much that she's never around to help. I'd rather just sit alone at my own house.
Lyfe twins as always. It's a great idea in theory until I realize she's counting how many glasses of wine I drink and wants to have conversations.

Having a hellion for a dog has really helped with a lot of things, because a lot of shit is already done to keep her out of it/away from it. I need to get my H on board with keeping the coffee table clear though, because the day he pulls up on it I'm fucked.
Although it's sharp corners have me nervous in general, so I'm considering pitching the idea to get rid of it entirely. I'm not sure he'll go for it though.
getting rid of it does mean more room for baby to play...

Does milk really help with heartburn? Cause I hate stuff but will chug a whole gallon if it puts this fire in my stomach out. Were out tums and the store is far.

Picture above is somewhat accurate. They built/designed the house to look like an old restored farmhouse. So they had a fireplace taken from an actual old farmhouse and built into their house in the kitchen. It's a feature some old houses had.
