MIL is here. She is incredibly helpful with the kids but HOLY FUCK, stop re-arranging shit in my house! I have to put certain things in very strategic hiding spots so they don't get destroyed by my boys. Moving them somewhere else means I can no longer find them, but they might. Oy. Trying to focus on net worth. Husband gets home on Thursday (WOO!) but will have to break it to him that I'm on a sex ban (due to risk of preterm labor). We haven't done it since late May, and he's been gone for work since June 9th. Contractions have eased, but now I just can't sleep because I have too much on my mind. Mostly trying to come up with a bitchin boy name. Frederick or Theodore?
I hear you on strategic hiding. We lost our sound surround remote and Apple TV remote for over a week when my ILs came to visit. DD is in the move everything around and hide it stage. I found a box of pasta shells in my dirty clothes hamper the other day. Sneaky sneaky!
Re name: I'm biased toward Theodore bc it's our name choice
I wonder what it is about laundry baskets?? I just washed a bunch of hot wheels yesterday.
Yep, laundry baskets must be idea hiding places. DD has started to throw her toys in her dirty diaper laundry bin. Luckily they are toys that are easily washable and hasn't generalized to all household things. Next phase please.
runningmommy519, sorry about your milk, but YAY baby snuggles! RandomName, @greengirl09, @piedpiper07,so you ladies are telling me, not only do my dogs hide/ sleep in the laundry basket, my kid will hide stuff there too?
runningmommy519 are you getting colostrum? It took 3 (maybe 4) days before I saw actual milk. And yay for baby snuggles - they are the best!
I was for the first 12 or so hours. Then nothing. I pumped after the last snuggle and got a few drops! They just called me again but E is really sleepy. We're snuggling again because the skin to skin is good for us both. I'll probably try to nurse again then pump
runningmommy519 glad you're getting so many snuggles. I had trouble with the pump at the start. Hand expression would get me more colostrum than pumping (until my milk came in). I wasn't the best at it but I had this amazing nurse who would sit with me by the incubator and help. GL.

I woke up at 3am, I'm wide awake. Aargh The in-laws will be over at 10am, as they do every Saturday. I usually do an hour marathon cleaning session before they get here, which I think I'll pass on tomorrow. If I'm showered, I consider that a win. They always bring us stuff and take us out to eat, plus my FIL is going with hubs to look at/possibly purchase a new car. I don't want to go, I just said "bring your dad!" I hate salesmen and their bullshit you have to wade through. So yeah, weekly in-law visits are AOK in my book. I'm rambling because I'm bored. What else can I ramble on about? I ate a waffle, and now I'm going to read to try and get sleepy.
Up with my first experience of Heartburn this pregnancy. And knowing what caused it makes me super sad. I have been BETRAYED by BACON! So. I am laying in bed, eating saltines, and crying over bacon.
I'm sorry about the heartburn. My problem is constipation. I feel so distended but the best I can do is rabbit pellets. It sucks.
When this happens with me I eat an apple. It was my mom's tried and true method. Plus i tend to also take a gas pill with that (the chewable kind ) which somehow always helps me go.

+ 1. This is typically what works for me. Depending on what fruit is in season, I will over indulge on purpose for the benefit of moving things along.

Ugh last night didn't contain much sleep and I couldnt load the website to come commiserate with you all. I get very sad around 3am that I'm never going to sleep well again!
Before being pregnant I thought I would be one of those chicks who wouldn't touch anything you weren't recommended to eat and cut out any medication that wasn't prenatal. Fuck that shit. I can't do without Unisom and zantac. Those pills save me everyday!
Hope you can get naps in @janetheconquerer @kateyoung.

This was me. Per my OB, I was already taking the max dose of colace and Metamucil and still going like a rabbit. So she recommended either miralax or milk of magnesia on top of everything else. It finally worked. Hope you get relief soon!
Tonight's episode of insomnia is brought to you by the numbers 12 and 30. I've been up at least twice, how is it only 12:30?
Also, the letter Y? Why is it so fucking hot? Why do we not have air conditioning? Poor son woke up wailing because he's just so uncomfortable. Me too, buddy. Me too.
Heartburn KILLS me every night. Sleeping sitting up doesnt even help anymore. Been up since 330 now... Had some cereal and now I'm watching netflix as hubby sleeps away :/
Hmmm..... Contractions or Braxton Hicks, contractions or Braxton Hicks.....? It was 3 am last time I went into labor. Better start timing this, might be contractions.

This is where I stand too. I was having them for about 3 1/2 hours before bed. They tapered off before I went to sleep. Now they are back.

they are pretty close together. Between 5-10 min, lasting a little over a min. I'm going to go eat something because now I feel like I'm starving. See if that changes anything.

I got 3ish minutes apart for 1:15ish. They are either going to get stronger or go away. The good old wait and see game has begun.

Yep! When is your due date? I'm due somewhere between aug 1st and 8th. Lol. My cycles were always 21 days one month and 28 the next. When i had my weekly appt on Monday (yesterday) my doc said I was 50% effaced with a nice soft cervix and she could feel the baby's head. And to stick close to a hospital because she said it could be any day. Lost most of my plug yesterday morning (tuesday) and just lost the rest of it now. Moving around doesn't seem to slow the contractions, if anything when i go from sitting to standing it just brings them on. Eating that ginormous bowl of cereal hasn't changed anything either. Doing the debate of calling in my dad to come watch the tiny human while we head in to see if I'm actually in labor or not. This is all very similar to my first.

My due date is the 7th. I was 1cm last week but pretty firm. No sign of my mp yet. This is how my first labor started also, but it lasted 36 hours so I am in no hurry to head in until these get bad.
