La la la la... I'm bored. I woke up to my darling husband having a diabetic seizure right next to me in bed. I forced enough juice into him until the seizure stopped, then made him a sandwich. He's fine now, snoring away. Me, on the other hand, the adrenaline has me feeling like its morning. The cats and I are up watching Iron Chef. Tuesday (technically today) is Pump Day! He gets his fancy continuous glucose monitor and his automatic insulin pump. He has a 5 hour class on how to get it "installed" and working. I couldn't be happier. I might eat a Rice Krispie Treat. My life is very exciting.
@elizabethnevedap what a scary way to wake up! I'd have a hard time going back to sleep too.
It's 2am, and despite ambien, I can't stay asleep. Between cramping and contractions from the cervadil and the just plain uncomfotableness of sleeping at the hospital, I'm a mess. 6am can't come soon enough. Let's just get this show on the road.
Went to sleep feeling hot and uncomfortable. Woke up half an hour ago with numb hands and now I am freezing. I can't stop shaking. Why can't my body just find a happy medium so I can get some rest already?

Gaaaah--I'm trying not to wish time away, but if I'm only going to get 4 hours of sleep per night anyway, can we just get these babies out of me so I have someone to hang out with at 4am?
Guys, I just gave birth to a 10lb 28oz, lol, baby boy in my dream. I sure hope that doesn't really happen... Can you imagine almost a 12lb newborn?!? Now I have to pee really bad.

pmcd886, that's awesome! Lovin' the 28oz! I've only had a couple of childbirth dreams, but in them my newborns can always speak in full sentences and incredibly witty.

This. At least I would have a purpose and not just laying there staring blankly. Or better worrying about non existent problems.

3:22 am, been awake two hours. So over this shit. Especially since the main thing I do is second guess our list of names and stress myself out on Nameberry and the Baby Names board.
Also, if MH would stop snoring, that'd be peachy. I can sleep through LOs kicking and rolling, but coupled with the snoring... Not so much.
lawndog1216 each of BFs snores is a rub in the face that I'm not sleeping. So annoying. I voice recorded it tonight and I'll play it for him tomorrow. He claims "I don't snore". Pppfft ya right buddy.
Add me to the husband snoring club. Although I don't mind too much because it means he is getting good sleep which means I can count on him to get shit done tomorrow. Sleep away, H!
Up for an hour. Some random contractions and stomach pains. I really want to try to poop and then eat some toast, but I'm too lazy to get out of bed.
This. Somehow my body has reversed its poop schedule to the middle of the night. Wtf, body? I really should just get up and do something--it's now 5am and I've been awake since 3:45. Boooooo.

I have had this issue too. I wake up and need to poop in the middle of the night. So annoying.
I've definitely given up on any "good" sleep. I did start using my sleeping app, Sleep Cycle, to wake myself up and monitor my sleep. 59% quality, which is a near-all-time low for me, and only 4 hours with two wakes. I did, however, wake up on time and wasn't late to work (the app wakes you when you're not in REM sleep). We'll see how tonight goes.

I'm here! They were giving me a high dose of Motrin around the clock at the hospital, and I stopped taking it when we got home yesterday. Thank God H made me get the script filled in the way home, I did NOT know about uterine contractions after birth. They legit feel like my Pitocin contractions did hours into active labor. Dull cramps that are barely noticeable then bam, random painful contraction. My mom said "oh yeah, aftershocks. Nobody tells you about them." WTF?
Is this concerning? I'm kind of concerned, I woke up and have a slight temp. 99.4-99.9. I know it's not a true fever but I feel slightly feverish. I called L&D and they said if there are no other symptoms that I don't need to come in. I'm monitoring it but still planning on going in pretty soon. Has anyone else had this experience? Baby is moving and was very active earlier in the evening. Sorry for the medical post I just wanted to bounce this off some other moms.

I'd say if L&D told you not to be concerned, I'd monitor it but listen. Of course if anything at all changes don't hesitate to call again or go in.

This. I hope it's nothing; good mama for staying on top of it.
