pixie523 - hugs they sound like jerks! Secret conversations like children. WTF?!
Re DTD : I am honestly terrified of it since the condom broke last time. Re LO progress. He does not pull himself up yet. He just barely started enjoying rolling over. He does like a swimming motion while on his belly and slides himself around.
pixie523jjh1119 thanks! I never thought I would be one of the moms who worried like this lol. She's definitely one happy and healthy baby and I know that's what matters! She was laughing so much and so loud this evening. It was amazing. songbirdsinging55 those pictures are adorable!! My LO does something pretty similar and then starts sucking on my cheek. I'm pretty sure she's trying to nurse, but it's pretty stinking cute.
How do you all watch TV with a LO? We don't want her watching with us, but we sleep when she does so we don't have separate tv time.
LO is rocking and rolling back to belly. She's just started doing belly to back the last couple of days. She doesn't sit unsupported yet. She might give a small giggle when she is happy, but we haven't gotten any real laughter.
gldnbearz we watch tv while holding her at night or while she's playing with her toys and her back is to the screen. I've found I'm not as worried as I thought I would be about screen time.
ReDTD we are up to roughly 1 time a week. Who knew this would turn into such a discussion tonight. I just picked this topic because I figured it would make Pixie's in laws supper uncomfortable and maybe stop them from being ass hats about small talk.
gldnbearz I used to watch tv while I was nursing, but that ended a few months ago when she started being distracted by it. Now I occasionally watch an episode of The Office with DH before going to bed, but that's it.
Re: DTD: We probably do it once every other week now? I'd almost always rather sleep, haha.
gldnbearz TV typically happens after LO goes to bed. She's down by 7 and I'm usually up until 8:30, maybe 9:30 on a heavy coffee night. I'm also less nuts about screen time than I expected to be, but for the most part the tv is off until 7.
We are home all day with the tv off. If I'm struggling to get him to nap I usually turn on little einsteins and he's usually asleep within a minute or two. Occasionally I'll watch tv during his naps but I'm usually working or cleaning up. When H is home, the tv is on but I'm usually cleaning up after dinner, changing over laundry or bath or whatever. After he is in bed I'll watch tv with H for about 20 min before I shower and lay in bed
