Anyone else have a LO that is trying to free stand? DD was practicing all day yesterday. She uses me to pull to stand then let's go. She can usually keep herself up for about 5-10 seconds. I don't think DD1 did this until she was almost a year! DD2 turned 9 months on the 3rd. I swear she's trying to keep up with her sister.
DS has been free standing. The other day he stood for about 30 seconds the fell down. Once he realizes he isn't holding onto anything he lets himself drop.

No standing here yet. She does mosy over to the table and start looking up putting her hands there and then just looks so I'm thinking she wants to make the attempt but not quite there yet!

Yep, mine's the 8th. Nope, no free-standing yet. When we are helping her stand, we'll let go for a second or two with our hands still right under her arms. I think we're scared. Maybe I'll try to encourage her this evening.

He's started letting go of whatever he's hanging on to but he plops down maybe 2 seconds later. I thought he my be an early walker because he's been run/crawling after his sister for months.

DS loves to stand. Anything that he can use to pull up, he will. He even pulls up using the dog. He can stand on his own pretty well, maybe 10 - 30 seconds at a time. Recently, he has been crouching down to sit back down instead of just plopping. It is pretty adorable.
He pulls up on the couch all the time. He doesnt stand yet. I think my husband saw him do it for like half a second as he tried to move a foot forward.
I will cry so hard. I've cried at every milestone lol.
I know, I'm starting to really get emotional the older she gets!!!

My DD has been doing some freestanding in the last week (she is the 15th) she will pull herself up on something and then let go. She will also stand between the couch and the coffee table and let go of one, turn around and take a small step to get to the other. She is also desperately trying to stand up on her own. She will be sitting then get in a downward dog position practically trying to stand up.
