Is anyone using NFP? Im using it for bc right now, but only because if I got pg it would be okay for us right now. Id use the pill if I was specifically trying to prevent pg... right now I am just kind of avoiding. Does that make sense? Anyway, Im wondering if temperatures get back to normal in conjunction with af returning, or if everything might just take awhile to adjust? Is your temp supposed to stay high throughout pg? I remember its high for awhile, but cant remember when it would drop again, if it would be around child birth?
Natural family planning. Before we started ttc lo I read taking charge of your fertility. Heard about it from the ttc board. The idea is to track your cycle so you kind of can tell when youre ovulating. You can use it for ttc or bc. I just dont remember what was up with post birth info.
I would definitely be interested in that bc I don't like condoms or hormonal bc and it wouldn't be the end of the world if I got pregnant again. But I haven't got my period back yet, so I don't think it would work for me now.

You have to get one of those really sensitive digital thermometers, I can't remember what they're called. I also REALLY suggest reading the TCOYF book. I chart on paper, but lots of people use apps. I know there's also a TCOYF website to get started and they have charting "lessons" if you're interested. Just FYI- the book actually was more on point than my doctor. As you approach ovulation you won't know when it's coming exactly, just that it's on it's way. The book says to leave 5 days on either side of ovulation to prevent pg, but my doctor said 2 days. Well, let's just say, listen to the book, haha! I really like it. We have been withdrawing every time since I'm not sure what's up with my temp or my cycle right now. Once I get better at remembering to temp before I get out of bed in the morning (if you get up first it messes it up), I'll probably have a more accurate idea of what's going on.

I tried to temp to try. I remembered to take it once...but with getting up when DS starts to wake up, I keep forgetting to temp before getting out of bed.
I think progesterone makes your temp higher. So, your temp would be higher throughout pregnancy. I think you should be able to see a temp shift once AF returns (probably two weeks before the return) because the corpus luteum (where the egg came out of the ovary) produces progesterone after ovulation - so more progesterone should mean a higher temp...right?
