Healthy living goal: Lose 10-20 pounds and get back to a strong, confident me
What are you doing to achieve your goal? Counting calories using MyFitnessPal and setting a goal to workout 6 days/week
How was last week? I am 2/2 this week! I logged all my calories Monday and Tuesday, and I was able to do two workouts each day (not normal, but on my plan). I am joining a new gym that is circuit training for women and focuses heavily on weight-based training with dumbells. My legs are good and sore, and I am really hoping this helps with my complete lack of upper body strength.
Rants/raves/questions: I am so so happy that this thread got such a great response on Monday. I hope it continues! I am already feeling more accountable and dedicated because I know I have to check-in here.
Yay! Thanks ironbaby Goal: Lose 30lbs from my high; tone up What I'm doing: exercising at least 30 mins every day, even if it's just a walk. Logging on My Fitness Pal, eating healthy and juicing one meal a day. Last week: was ok. Not great exercising but was pretty good on food. R/R/Q: glad we have this check-in! I'm frustrated the scale isn't moving and I've been at this for awhile. I think I need to increase the intensity of my workouts (which I'm really not looking forward to)!
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
What are you doing to achieve your goal? C25k program, cut out fast food, stopped overeating and no food after 8 p.m.
How was last week? Pretty good my first week of C25k and I got all 3 runs in. I did have a cheat day Friday night, but I lost 4 lbs of bloat.
Rants/raves/questions: Todays CD 1 so I have all the feels and I want to eat everything and just sit on the couch all day...
C25k has worked wonders for several people I know. In fact, many of the distance runners I run with now started out that way. Great job this week! Sorry about CD1
Healthy living goal: I'd like to lose 5 to 10 more pounds. Over the past several months I've lost about 15 lbs, and I'm 5 2" so it's made a big difference in how clothes fit me. It's been fun feeling more comfortable in clothes, and I'd feel really great if I could get down just a little bit more. Also, I know it's a silly goal since BMI isn't a good indicator of health at all, but if I lose 1 more pound I'll finally be in the "normal" range and that would feel nice.
What are you doing to achieve your goal? Watching what I eat, trying to run at least 3 times a week or so. Running has been going much better since losing a little bit of weight- I definitely have faster times now and just overall feel better.
How was last week? Well- not great! We were in Disney so I ate pretty terrible. But, we walked over 50 miles in the 4 days that we were at the parks, so I didn't feel too bad.
Rants/raves/questions: I wish I had more willpower on the weekends. During the week I feel like I am able to eat pretty well, not have any drinks, etc. but once Friday evening comes it's over. I would be making a lot more progress if I could eat on the weekends how I eat during the week.
Healthy living goal: Lose the first 20 lbs, increase exercise.
What are you doing to achieve your goal? Participating in the challenges on here and this check-in now! Logging my calories in MFP. 10k steps with my fitbit. DH and I used to run together and we haven't done it in a long time and we have been talking about starting back up again. nepatsgal, you bringing up C25K actually gives me a great idea because I think DH would like to do this!
How was last week? (ironbaby maybe this should be tweaked to ask how the week is going/how do you plan to end your week?) The last two days have been great! No formal exercise besides the challenge but my steps were way up because we did tons of walking and I stuck very closely to my calorie goal. Woo! DH wanted to stop and get food yesterday because we got home late but I stood my ground and we did not. We cooked at home. In the end he was glad that I made us eat at home, because he knows we both need to start eating better.
pinkcat, I use BMI too. I know it's not completely reliable, but there is something to be said for wanting to be under that "overweight" line. Honestly, that's the only thing helping me maintain my weight right now. If I gain one more pound, I will go over!
nuggetrn, much better phrasing! I will try to remember that for next week. Keep the suggestions coming! Great job on eating at home.

Healthy living goal: Lose the 50 lbs I've gained over the past 2-3 years What are you doing to achieve your goal? Cutting crap out and adding in more activity slowly so I don't give up. How was last week? Cut diet coke out and am only drinking water and unsweetened ice tea. Went swimming 3 times and walked more. Rants/raves/questions: My weight gain really hit me hard when a beach picture popped up on my Timehop. Sharing who I can hold myself accountable to getting back there. The stress of school, TTC meds, and gallbladder removal hasn't helped.
What are you doing to achieve your goal? Making running more of a priority. Also trying to make healthy decisions when it comes to food (that's my weak point)
How was last week? It was okay. This week has been better. Got a fitbit Sunday and I'm super excited to get using it.
Rants/raves/questions: I don't want to get a gym membership as I really just want to run. But the community park here is always so packed with tball practices/games.. Ugh.

Goal: lose 15-20 pounds. Tone up so I don't look so flabby when we go on our beach vaca on August.
What am I doing: trying to do something active everyday. Doesn't have to be a full workout but it has to be minimum 30 minutes. Going out to eat less. Not keeping junk food in the house. Trying to make healthy choices on food when traveling.
Last week: was bad. I ate like crap and only worked out once. This week is going better. So far I've done something every day even if it's just a long walk. Been trying to walk at lunch but I think it will be too rainy today. Gained one pound. Wtf.
RRQ: I ordered a bunch of Fitbit bands and they come today. I'm excited to be able to match my Fitbit to my outfit lol.

Healthy living goal: Not be a fat ass? Oh wait - that's not a good goal. I guess I'll start with lose 10 lbs. (Although I have many more than that to go)
What are you doing to achieve your goal? I cook most of my meals and I'm trying to track in MyFitnessPal. I would also like to cut down on my alcohol consumption.
How was last week? Last week wasn't great - I went WAY out of control over the weekend (Bolognase,pizza, cocktails, wine. You name it - I ate/drank it.)
Rants/raves/questions: I feel in-control since Monday. I also stepped on the scale this morning and have a baseline to go from.

Healthy living goal: Eat clean, be fit, be happy.
What are you doing to achieve your goal? Trying to cut sugar, processed foods, white flour and reduce alcohol. Being intentional about getting real exercise 5 times a week. Trying the Headspace app for mindfulness.
How was last week? Pretty good with clean eating, with the exception of a few small sweets throughout the week and a lot of booze over the weekend. Will be the same for next week, too. Trying to follow the 80/20 rule - 80% of what I eat is virtuous, and 20% (or less) is indulgent. Getting back in the gym routine.
Rants/raves/questions: Wish me luck with moderation when I go on vacation for long weekend!
Healthy living goal: I'm about 10lb from my adult low weight. I want to get back to there or at least close to there.
What are you doing to achieve your goal? I normally run 2-3 times a week and log using MFP. I haven't been too great about either of those.
How was last week? Awful - I had a lot going on but I need to quit making excuses.
Rants/raves/questions: I'm really trying to cut out some soda and replace it with tea or water. I love getting a big fountain drink on my lunch but I need to quit that. I like walking at lunch but it's getting hot out. Guess I need to plan an indoor route for summer.

I love this 80/20 idea! I am going to have to keep that in mind. It would be a good guide for me on the weekends when I am not as good at tracking.
What are you doing to achieve your goal? Trying to increase my exercise (walk dogs more at a bare minimum) and eating crazy healthy
How was last week? We started our detox diet on Monday, and it has been a little rough. Grocery shopping is hard, but we have stuck with it, no cheating!
Rants/raves/questions: Grocery shopping is so hard, I felt so helpless when I went lastnight. Reading labels suuuucks! Someone give me a cookie or some cake already!
Birdie - I remember you saying that your doctor provided this detox. What is the general idea? No carbs?

Healthy living goal: Love to drop a dress size or two, but really I want to gain my strength back/tone up. I was in a bad car accident about 8 months ago and really messed up my shoulder. I could't work out for the longest time. I am now at the point where I can work it out again, so it is time to build those muscles!
What are you doing to achieve your goal? Lots of PT and gym time, plus taking more stairs and walking the dog on longer walks.
How was last week? Last week I ate pretty well except that I drank too much wine! This week I have been living off of broth...
Rants/raves/questions: I have been super sick for the past few days and am FINALLY starting to feel better, so hopefully I will be able to get back to the gym soon.
What are you doing to achieve your goal? 1500 calorie per day. workout 3-5 days a week. burn 300-500calories a day. eat healthy (low carb and less sweets)
How was last week? last week was ok. I did go to the gym 3 days but the sweets got me!
Rants/raves/questions:I avoided the sweets thus far. Also no alcohol during the week.

Healthy living goal: I need to lose weight. I don't know how much weight loss will make me happy, but my first goal is 30 pounds. If I do that, I'll set a new goal. After my loss, my OBGYN told did some bloodwork to see if I was pre-diabetic or insulin-resistant. I never called to receive the results, but she wanted me to cut carbs out of my diet since we are TTC. So H and I have tried a couple of diets and nothing has really worked until we started Paleo and I started losing some weight.
What are you doing to achieve your goal? Clean eating (mostly Paleo) as much as possible. Also trying to exercise more now that it's nice out.
How was last week? Horrible. Lost no weight and gained a pound due to eating bad at end of the school year work parties I've lost 10 lbs in the last month though, so it's a start.
Rants/raves/questions: H and I went for a 2 mile walk today. We had to cut it short since it started raining, but it's more than our normal times. Question: Does anyone have a Fitbit? Tell me more about it. I'm thinking about buying one but I want to know what all it can do for you and if it's worth the money.
kayladawn91, there was a discussion a few days ago about fitness trackers. The consensus seemed to be the Fitbit Charge HR. I am thinking of getting one myself.
nuggetrn, nepatsgal, ironbaby, I love c25k! I got all the way to the last week and had some back(and motivation) issues and gave up before I ran the 5k! That was about 3 weeks ago.
Healthy living goal: Finish c25k! Maintain my current weight and maybe lose a few more pounds.
What are you doing to achieve your goal? I did a 2 mile run on Monday and yesterday I walked/ran for 2.5 miles. I also logged 16000 steps which is really high for me.
How was last week? Good for exercise and I'm doing better with food this week but haven't been logging on myfitnesspal. I need to get back on the wagon for that one. DH is working nights and this week has been crazy so I am giving myself a pass.
Rants/raves/questions: kayladawn91 I will say the same thing I said in the other thread, get the fitbit! Especially if you have other friends that have one, it can be really motivating!
doodler, Yeah I did C25k last year as well, finished and ran my first 5k. After that I decided I had no more motivation stopped running and exercising altogether, gained 30 lbs, and here I am now. This time I'm going to continue running after I finish because I don't want to feel like this again. All that hard work to get the baby weight off and I gained it all back. Good luck finishing the program and 16,000 steps is wonderful, I think I've only done about 12,000 on my best day.

Rants/raves/questions: I'm really bored of eating the same things over and over. But MH doesn't really care for many veggies, so I feel like I'm making 2 dinners all the time. So I pick things that are easy to make while multi-tasking. I don't have time to whip up two great meals, and most new healthy recipes I see are not quick. Which means I'm bored of my go-to meals

This is me too! I hate the nights that I'm too lazy to make myself something healthy and just eat what I make him. Definite fails, those days. But when I try to compromise, with a nice main and a veggie side? He doesn't eat the veggies and there isn't enough food to fill him up so he's heating up a microwave pizza 10 minutes later. Groan. When he wouldn't eat more than one forkful of carrots/broccoli/snap peas yesterday, I asked what he is going to do when we do have kids. Because they cannot see that they can say no to vegetables. His response was "I'll eat them then!" No he won't. He's an unhealthy-eating liar with ridiculously great metabolism.
I look up healthy recipes all the time, but they either have stuff he won't touch, or are definitely not "quick and easy". Boo!
The struggle is real! H will eat some veggies, but almost no cooked ones. That means there are approximately 2 possible meals we can have that include veggies.
I don't even know how we'd deal with it when we have kids. Yikes.
