Definitely an omnivore with carnivorous tendencies. A good medium rare steak, Dungeness crab, or any sort of fish will easily find its way onto my plate.
I have been all over the place. So definitely omnivore over here. I have, though, been a strict vegan, raw vegan, vegetarian, and pescatarian before I finally said eff it to the label.
We eat super healthy like 90% of the time. Lots and lots of fruits and veggies practically nothing is processed at all. Almost everything is local. But pretty much anything is available over here. We have tons of farmers markets, organic markets and whole foods to choose from.
I could gladly eat a delicious med rare ribeye, a lobster tail, roasted veggies and a loaded baked potato and die a very happy princess
Omnivore. I like all the food. Lol. I eat tons of fruit and veggies, but don't bother with organic or anything. It's tough to cook healthy meals because I like healthy food, but DH was raised on crap so that's all he likes. But I'm gradually getting him to eat more and more "weird" foods, haha.

Omnivore. I eat anything. I love my fruits and veggies, but I also love a hearty meal with meat. I sometimes have trouble with the texture of breads and swallowing them, but the carby goodness tempts me every time anyway.
Omnivore, Give me Burger, Chicken, or salmon and I'm in heaven, but make sure i have some veggies to go on it or with it. I also love fruit for breakfest or a desert, my fav is cottage cheese and peaches.

Omnivore for sure. I love hamburgers, steaks, roasts, chicken. I love meat on the grill. I try to make sure we have veggies with our meals. I also enjoy pasta more than a person should. I enjoy my fruit as well. I can only hope that DD will be able to eat a balance meal and be less picky then I am.

Omnivore here, I eat all the things and especially love veggies like crazy with my meats. I'll take a good medium rare steak any day but I also love chicken and seafood just as much.
DH and SS are strictly meat and potato/carb/junk food junkies. MIL raised DH basically on ground beef and SS was was thrown frozen chicken nuggets and whole bags of Doritos till I got my hands on him. I've tried to change their habits by simply not buying the junk but then DH will just go get it himself. SS will eat some things (salad and asparagus are actually some of his favorites, he will only eat apples as far as fruit goes) but try to get DH to choke down some salad or any fruit?? HA!! We're always stocked with both in the hope they'll pick it up but I simply can't eat all of it by myself so I haz a sad when I have to throw things out. I'm in charge of LO's diet so far and he loves his veggies and fruits like his momma. I split my peaches and apples with him and we love our broccoli!!
littleapplemom I totally relate. What I do to help DH eat healthy is I asked him which fruits and veggies he actually likes (which is like 5 fruits and 2 veggies, lol) and always keep those stocked. I try to make meals that are very "meat and potatoes" centered, but still good for you. And cook from scratch- no seasoning packets or frozen stuff. We do a lot of chili, tacos, quesadillas, and pork chops. Do you have any meal suggestions that are healthy but picky-eater approved?
I could live off beef and potatoes. We have a deep freezer because we bought half a cow, but that's just how I grew up. We don't have any true junk food in our house and eat a lot of veggies and fruit along with that. We always have beef or chicken with dinner. My husband does a fair amount of weight lifting so he likes to make sure he has a lot protein in his meals. Now I'm hungry lol.
I'm a reformed ovo-lacto vegetarian (the only animal products I ate were eggs and dairy). I had never had a steak when I met my H, and he had only eaten a few veggies. So we've met in the middle --> I now eat meat and he eats green things. It's still important to me to get organic and local (we get our meat at the farmers market when it's that season) and I think we've both really enjoyed our new eating styles. I can tear up a prime rib with horseradish and jus!
I think what helps is I have a nutrition degree and my H has a heart problem. Healthy eating is important for both of us. I mean, I love cake, though too. And have dessert a fair amount. But most everything we eat is organic, local, and loaded with fruits/veggies. But we also live in an area where that is all easily accessible. I couldn't imagine living somewhere where it was really hard to get fresh foods. I probably won't ever go back to being fully vegan. Because steak. Yum. Once I got pregnant I wanted ALL THE MEAT. And kissed veganism goodbye

nerdalert, I tried that with DH, I don't like oranges that much and bananas make my stomach hurt for some reason but he said he liked them....I almost always throw them out or make banana bread (which doesn't bother me but I end up eating all of it). SS will eat apples and pears(same texture) but that's all. He's ASD/Asperger's so textures bother him sometimes. Right now I have bananas, oranges, strawberries, grapes, pears, peaches, nectarines, broccoli, carrots, peppers and zucchini and a giant box of organic spring mix all in my fridge. All of which I'll probably eat with LO.
Recipes: I just try to sneak veggies into everything. Chances are if it has onions and chicken or red meat in it they'll usually eat it along with whatever else I add. I'll make foods that SS likes but change them a little so they're healthier. His mother used to make him what he called "big chicken" on special occasions. It was just chicken parm, fried of course. I had him make "pizza chicken" with me instead. We cut out the breading and baked it instead, topped with home made sauce, a little mozz and pepperoni which he'll eat by the boatload. Eventually I started to put red peppers under the cheese, maybe some spinach. I do it with salsa and cheddar too because they'll eat anything tex-mex.

Omnivore! I love chicken, steak and pork but eat fruit daily. My favorites are. Watermelon and peaches. I am also a sucker for carbs. Pasta and potatoes are my favorites!
