Hey ladies I have a personal plea. I know some ladies are still stoking the fires over at TB and have been reposting Naria's message.
I think it is great the loyalty you guys have shown and it makes us all really proud.
That being said Naria has asked if we could let things die down now. She thinks the point has been made and needs to be able to settle some things with XO on her own, and the messages and such are making that difficult.
Would you guys mind letting this just go quiet over there? It is also going to help her point a lot if the XO officials can see how dramatically the board traffic and content have changed now that the "real" members have led.
Yes ma'am! I've been lurking, but not posting because I dont have much else to say, but I'm going to let my 48 hours go through so my account can officially be gone!
May I ask a question? Is Naria setting this up as a new business for herself? Are any of you guys getting paid? I am not suggesting or assuming it's a bad thing if the answers are affirmative, I just want to know if I am helping to build a business or another private enterprise in the making.
I believe only proboards profits from anyone here (on proboards)

@blackpearl08 None of us are getting paid. We are all still volunteers. I do not believe Naria is making any money from this either, but I will double check for you.

Yeah, we're all volunteering to help out with this. I think it would be great if one day we could get to the point where we have a money making website, but right now it is not.

This may be an absolutely stupid question but I just wanted to clarify something... Are TB more concerned over board traffic than membership? Originally I felt like I couldn't be bothered to have my account deleted and trying to get banned is NMS. With everyone sending deletion requests, I'm wondering if I should be doing that as well. So my question is: Is it worthwhile having my account deleted? Or is abstaining from TB enough?

It's up to you. If you don't feel like deleting, don't. Just staying away and not giving them clicks hurts them.
Personally, I wanted to be clean of that place, particularly to keep away from the temptation of going back. It's a hard habit to break after years of regular posting and that made it easier for me.

Thanks, irishvodkagrl. I re-posted Naria's message yesterday, but the more time passes the more it feels like beating a dead horse. I was feeling a little guilty for not staying on it today, so I appreciate your posting this.

Very good point. Thanks for the response.
I know leaving was a difficult decision for you. I have a lot of respect for the way you parted ways with them. I really hope this forum will be even more meaningful to you than TB was
Part of the reason ladies wanted their accounts deleted was because it will screw up Google searches. When you look up anything pg related TB comes up. They were hoping with all the content gone it wouldn't profit TB any longer.
Many just wanted to send a message and drown the boards with deletion requests. It surely looks terrible when all the boards are covered in them. It also removes them from the overall membership count.

^This. I shared a lot of knowledge, information, and personal stories on TB. I wanted it "back" so to speak

I totally agree. I wasn't much into burning down the joint to begin with. But I don't hold anything against those who chose to go that route. It's definitely time to move on.
Anyone else notice the app is now down to a 1.5 star rating? Haha. It was at 3 or 3.5 before all this started.

Nope. Definitely not making money off of this.
Would I eventually love to see this community grow to the point where we have amazing website content and could be a legitimate contender in the pregnancy and parenting arena online? Absolutely
But that isn't going to happen overnight, and at this point I have zero intentions of monetizing the forums for personal gains. Proboards do have ads, but I do not see a penny of that ad revenue.
This forum has grown in ways I never expected. If you would have asked me on January 1 if I thought that 5600 users would defect from the bump and move to proboards by the time I got to egg retrieval, I would have told you that you were out of your mind
It really is amazing to see the way we have grown in just the past 11 days!
