DD uses my ipad and I have a Otterbox case on it so it holds up to her well. It is super heavy with that case on it though and I wouldn't buy it specifically for her to use, it's just what I have so she uses it.

I've been thinking about getting her a Leappad for when LO2 is born. I think they are educational and made for little hands/drops/etc. I honestly haven't looked too far into them though. I just know they are pretty popular.

We got DD the leap frog my own laptop. It's not a tablet but it's cheap ($20) so I don't have to cry if she breaks it. It's just a pretend laptop, no apps or anything, but it teaches the alphabet, and plays music, etc. She loves her 'puter and is pretty obsessed with it right now. I will probably upgrade to a leap pad when she's a little older. My sister has them for my nieces and likes them, I also like that they are educational.

We use our regular Ipad for DD and she does really well with it. We have a few apps on there for her. Fisher Price makes some good ones that she likes (and are free). Our Ipad is out of space though and we're thinking about getting her something of her own as well so that we can have more videos and games since we travel a lot. Apparently Walmart (and Amazon) have Ipad 2 minis on sale tomorrow. We are thinking about just doing that with a good case and then we don't have to worry about her messing up our stuff.

I've heard good things about the Leap Frog ones though but haven't looked into it. I'm a little worried the mini won't be big enough for DD and might end up getting something else instead. I'm definitely not buying her a brand new regular Ipad that's for sure!
