My child refuses to sleep without epic battles. Nothing works anymore. I want to cry everytime its naptime or bedtime because it takes too damn long to get this kid the sleep he desperately needs
boxerrrmama85 Oh my gosh! I am glad you have an answer and can treat her poor girl. What a rough weekend.
babycfeb2015 Oh my gosh why do they have to change their routines just when you figure them out? DD did this 2 weeks ago and by total accident did we figure out she wanted to be put down. Put her down and 2 minutes she was asleep. Wtf little lady last week we had to rock you to sleep??

I feel you. More often than not my LO takes like 45 min to be down for good. He likes to trick me and be quiet and then when I leave and get settled he starts wailing again.
Hola ladies-- the Mondays has hit me hard. I apologize in advance for the length and the fact that you all are so supportive and I don't give half as much back as I should. - last week LO kept spiking a fever. Tylenol worked well but her temp kept going back up between 100-102. On Wednesday I asked H to take her to the pedi because we were going out of town this past weekend. Pedi said she checked out fine but if her fever came back, that we would need to bring her back. Well Thursday night (we drove to dallas and stayed at a friends house due to our early am flight) she spiked a fever of 103 and refused to be put down-- IT WAS A LONG NIGHT! Especially since we weren't at home. So we get to KC and I immediately took her to a pedi there and they did some tests and catheterized her (saddest thing ever-- that cry in pain was too much) and discovered she has a UTI. poor girl! I was frustrated because I specifically took her to the doc before we left and at that time she had already had a fever for 5 days and they should have run tests then. But my baby was still so smiley and happy and did well on the Flights. She is on antibiotics now and is doing better. - Saturday I woke up with a really sore throat but no fever so didn't think it could be strep. Well low and behold -- I woke up this morning with pink eye and doc confirmed I have strep I feel awful because we saw so many friends and kids this weekend and I was just hugging everyone! I hope no one else gets sick... - I am just wiped! Traveling and being sick and having a sick LO has taken its toll. LO is still at daycare and I'm now going back to nap!
Just reading that made me epically tired for you! Feel better soon.

Hugs to you! DD1 was like this and it didn't make the days very fun when it was so hard to get her to sleep. She was also totally miserable if she didn't nap so it's not like we could just skip it. It's a lot of pressure!
boxerrrmama85 hope you and LO feel better soon! Total TP to her pedi for dropping the ball.
@massybaby B moves a lot in her sleep and was also on her side, so maybe that was it? We have never had an issue before. Either way it scares the living crap out of us. Sorry you guys went through it too!
What a day! I drove to my parents house this afternoon. As soon as I arrived the daycare called to say DD1 had a fever. It took me a half an hour to get ahold of DH despite him having 3 phones! She kept saying her tummy hurt and she needed to go to the doctor. Her friend was having surgery today on her hip so I think this is why she wanted to go to see the dr too.
I was looking forward to getting some extra help here (and some naps) but my mom is not feeling well so now I'll have less ways to entertain LO and be bored all day. Maybe this one goes under FWP...

GeekBeagle - we are dubious twinsies... First we both have ex formula babies, and I too give my dog phenobarbital twice a day for seizures. Luckily we haven't had one since November, but they're so scary!!!!! Hugs and hope this one is the last for a long time!!!

Someone hit a utility pole nearby. We had no power staring at 2pm. We just got it back in time for bedtime. We went with DH to his bowling league just for the ac.
All I wanted to do tonight was relax and watch oitnb.

This just started happening to us the past weekish. I have no idea what is waking him up. He's exactly 4 months today, so maybe sleep regression? He's starting to finally roll to his side and he's trying to pull himself up to sit, so maybe too much going on? I have no idea but I need to do my chores!

I almost fell asleep at my desk so many times today. DS was an awesome napper yesterday, but last night... up every 2 hours. DH and I took turns rocking him back to sleep just to have him wake up when we put him back in the crib. I hope we don't have a repeat tonight.

Holy crap, no joke! We need to get some better things in common! But, yes, awful to watch. Hopefully tonight goes well as she sometimes has them back to back.
