I dunno if I should just make a bragging thread so I don't feel strangely guilty about posting this, but DD slept in her crib last night and never made a peep! Put her down at 9:30 and she woke up at 7:30. I actually think she may have slept better in her own room and the crib because when I went to check on her she was still in the center of the crib and hadn't wiggled around at all.
I actually got up at 7 to check on her because I hadn't heard anything on the monitor all night and was afraid it didn't pick anything up. But it works, I heard her at 7:30 perfectly.

Im so glad GIFs are back!!!
Our washing machine is dying. I really need it to hold out 1 year so we can get all new stuff when we move. I haaaate moving washing machines. Is it too much to ask Ts&Ps for ol' washy? (jk jk)
Morning, Tomorrow one of my best friends who now lives out west is coming over to visit! I am so excited to see her and her DD. Our DDs are going to play and she will get to meet DS. So today I need to clean. Also, we are planning a half way to Christmas party! Christmas food, Christmas cookies, Christmas decorations and presents! WHOHOO!

LO laughed so hard yesterday! It was the first time he burst out laughing like that. It was so heart melting. I love times like that because you remember why having a baby is so awesome after feeling not so awesome.

Congrats dacora! Send some of that awesome sleep my way!
I saw the GOT thread... But does anyone else watch OITNB? We started watching it this weekend and it just started to get good at episode 9. I love Netflix original series!

I'm watching oitnb. I just finished episode 6 (Chang). I like that we are getting back stories for some of the side people. Gonzales, big boo etc. I see this new short haired girl becoming a problem with Alex/piper.

Love the supporting cast stories! How did they find a girl that looks just like Justin Bieber with a sexy accent? She will be a love interest... For sure. The other short haired kosher meal lady is Kit from Leauge of Their Own! I foresee her being an issue for Alex/Piper.
I really should watch OITNB, but I never get down to actuallt starting. Everyone says it's great, though. I also want to watch unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, anyone watch it? Is it good?
I am packing for a 3 day trip to my parents. It's just me and DD, which means I have to pack smart because I have to carry all the stuff and load it onto the train by myself. Ugh. Not looking forward to that.

LOVE baby laughs. DD was laughing so hard at DS yesterday just because he was holding her hand.
It doesn't matter how bad your day is, a baby giggle can make it better

Kimmy Schmidt is AMAZING. Definitely watch it. It has a slightly dark sense of humor (considering Kimmy's backstory and all), and is super easy to get into. I've been a bit intimidated by OITNB even though I hear it's great, mostly because it's hard for me to watch something I haven't seen before while taking care of DD during the day.
OITNB is my guilty pleasure! I just started season 3. I am actually sitting in my "pump room" at work watching an episode while I try to get one pump in before my day.
LO's baptism was yesterday. Parties are so stressful, seriously. He was pretty good in church and didn't really cry when they poured the water on him, despite being EXHAUSTED because he didn't nap well in the morning.
He was SUCH a good boy at his party, let everyone hold him which he usually doesn't like much. However, we were supposed to barbecue on our brand new grill (literally used once) and something was broken or leaking or something and the propane tank lit on fire. THANK GOD it didn't explode and blow up my house and guests. Thankfully we had hot food and a six foot sub inside so it wasn't a total disaster.
And then my fridge also broke yesterday. Yes, during the party too. The freezer was on the fritz from the night before but then the fridge went too. Awesome. So after the party we ran to Home Depot to drop $3000 I don't have on a new fridge. Granted I hated the one we had (it came with the house) and I am secretly excited for the new fridge, I don't really want to pay for it. But now I have no fridge till Thursday. Thank heavens for the chest freezer in my garage.
They fixed the grill, so looks like we're having hot dogs and hamburgers for dinner every night this week.

michelle142, So true. I was thinking the other day that although I have some bad moments where I'm like "Holy crap this is hard," the good moments are superior and there are so many more of them!
Mondays are like my new Sundays since I only work Tues-Thurs. While a 4 day weekend seems like a lot, it still goes by so fast! Ugh to work tomorrow!
This Saturday I am leaving around 9am & will be gone until Sunday AM. I am a little nervous to leave LO with my H for so long, but I have a feeling he will get his mom to help!
The only show I have time to watch is SOA. A channel plays them all night long so I can watch 2 a night because DS gets up so much. Its the worst show ever but now I can't stop watching.
WittyLittle T&Ps ol' washy! dacora hope that means that you got a full night worth of sleep too. mrsclark731 we watch OITNB but, we haven't started it yet. Maybe tonight.
Hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go. Ugh. I am with you ladies, I hate Mondays....

Yes! And "kit" knows piper from when she had to go to Chicago and testify. She was on the big plane with her!
DS did a little better last night. He got up at 11 and 1:30. But then the toddler woke up 3 times between 4 and 5:30. So I'm still exhausted.
But we leave for vacation on Thursday. I'm excited to have H for a whole week and we're staying at a resort with a water park. It was next to impossible to find a swimsuit for DS. The smallest I could find was 9 months. But I finally found this cloth diaper type thing with swim trunks attached. Hope that works.

I want to binge watch OITNB so bad, but I only watch it while DS is asleep because of the language. I know he doesn't really understand the words right now but I still don't want him hearing them. It's definitely my guilty pleasure though. It's so good. I also really like Kimmy Schmidt.
As for spam, I'm working on DH's Father's Day picture today. I'm making a little sign that says "I ❤️ Daddy" and I'm gonna try my best to get one of DS smiling real big. I had FIL build me a picture frame for it already. FX DS cooperates.

I'm dying to hear my LO's first laugh. Closest we've got is her pterodactyl screeches when she gets excited. Cute, but not the same thing.
Looks like I missed a lot over the weekend but it seems things are relatively back to normal now...
Congrats on all the christenings! We finally registered at a home church this weekend. [Warning: I'm about to talk about beliefs, so avoid if that bothers you!] DH and I share the same values and I think we're good people, but neither one of us has been a "good Catholic" (meaning going to church weekly) in a while. Both sides of our family are Catholic so we decided to bring LO up in the Catholic Church as well, but we also plan to expose her to other religions and beliefs so that she can sort out what she believes herself one day, like we did.
Rough night of sleep for me…but not because of the baby. I fell asleep watching the NBA finals (boo GS). I woke up at 3 a.m. still fully dressed, so then I actually got myself ready for bed. I had just fallen back asleep around 4 a.m. when my older dog (4.5) had a seizure. She has epilepsy and has to take phenobarbital twice a day to control the seizures. It had been over 8 months since her last seizure, the longest gap she's had since they started, which is good. But, after she came out of the seizure she paced around for two hours, so I couldn't fall back asleep. I finally did fall back asleep after my 6:30 a.m. alarm. So, yeah, I was 30 min late to work. Thankfully DS slept through everything.
junebugjam holy mess! Glad there were no explosives at your party ? I hope your week is more relaxing than your weekend. GeekBeagle Internet hugs.
Thinking of just staying home today. I should go see my grandmother since we didn't yesterday, but DS had a rough afternoon & evening. I just want a normal day.
junebugjam, Wow... thank goodness it didn't explode!
FlutterOfYoshis,[Warning: Also some belief chat] DH and I are sort of in the same boat as you. Catholics but we don't practice by going to church weekly. We decided we wouldn't baptize our kids unless they felt in their hearts its what they want to do. I got a TON of push back from family. We also want our kids to be exposed to all kids of beliefs and cultures and play a supportive role as they decide what they believe in their hearts.

I love Kimmy Schmidt too! The theme song is also very catchy and gets stuck in my head. Tina Fey is a tv genius. I can't wait for another season.
