A Deadly Adoption Movie

Has anybody seen this trailer yet or read anything about the film.  I am still trying to form a coherent thought about this:

I didn't watch the trailer, but read the link you just posted. This seems like such a terrible idea. For several reasons. Blah.

I was going to withhold judgment, because I'm all for skewering the ridiculous AR storylines Lifetime comes up with. But it's just so...odd. I won't be watching

I am glad you posted this as I was thinking about this earlier this week. What does lifetime have against adoption? And surrogacy? It seems like every other moving is about the horrors of adoption or surrogates. It can be really frustrating especially when trying to educate the public. I am pretty disappointed that two big celebrities are in a movie like this. ?

What I don't get is that they call it a parody film, but it doesn't come across like a parody at all in the trailer. I love both of them, but I prefer them to be obviously funny. The whole thing is just strange.

So, I watched this last night out of sheer curiosity. The "birth mother" was not actually pregnant; she was a psycho who had this crazy plan to try to get Will Farrell's character to be with her. He didn't recognize her at first, but finally realized who she was. When he'd been on a book tour(after his wife lost a baby -their 2nd child- due to an accident) five years ago, he had been drinking really heavily and had a drunken one-night-stand with the girl.

It got more and more ridiculous as the movie went on and the ending so so ridiculous that it kind of funny (like Sharknado, which I loved)... but the whole thing was just strange. DH and I watched the entire thing, though. We just couldn't pull ourselves away. So, I guess it was effective? LOL

I watched a bit. It was a combo of all the Lifetime movie stereotypes along with bad acting and a terrible script. I'm amazed they aired it

It really is one of the strangest movies that I have seen in a while. It was as though they were trying soooo hard to be serious. It was over the top!

I have no desire to watch this movie. As silly as it is or not, there's a lot of uneducated people in the world and this is the last thing we need to be adding to the pile of false information.

We watched this movie last weekend. I agree with shemarie82 - it was one of the strangest movies I had ever seen.

The title is almost a misnomer. It has very little to do with 'adoption' besides that the girl pretends to be a pregnant teen and originally is matched with the Will Farrell and Kristin Wiig. After about 30-40 minutes, the movie has nothing to do with adoption and everything to do with this crazy girl and her crazy actions.

I'm convinced they used that title since it was such a stereotypical Lifetime title, not because it had to do with adoption
