Last night I fed DD in a bathroom stall at a restaurant. I didn't want to, and wasn't happy about it, but I did. I have zero issues with women feeding in public, I just personally don't have the confidence to do it without a cover, and I forgot mine in the car.
I was just looking at these photos yesterday (I have some wedding photos and baby photos that pop up on my rotating wallpaper), and thinking...Dude. That is a BITCH. The second one isn't as bad, I guess, but man, that first one. My husband looks terrified.
--SNIP--
Your resting bitch face is amazing.
And also: very pretty.
Haha, thanks. It's no wonder people hate me. I'm just sitting around looking like I hate the entire planet and everyone on it. I mean, I DO, but. I need to work on being more friendly. How do you do that? My face doesn't work that way. Do I just sit there and smile? That's weird.
I'm ordering WEN as a treat for myself and I'm totally going to use it on DD's hair. It's an unusual texture since she's biracial, and I'm curious to see if this makes it more manageable.
So yeah, my 20m old will be using $35 shampoo....
I've used this before. Worked well at first, but the magic wore off. Also, the moth supply didn't even last me a few weeks. Hopefully you have better luck.
DH likes to call me a stoner. I think it's because he came from a small town and has no idea. Anyway I'm into it. My mom was a hippie and she never gave two shits that we dabbled. FYI she's not still a hippie, just felt the need to clarify that. I did not roll one and smoke with my mom! My brother however...
I smoke with my parents.
I give zero fucks! Otherwise no judgement. Just wanted to say my mom was not!
I read something somewhere that said you can do that up to 10 times and it won't lose effectiveness. So, I started doing it a long time ago (not 10:1 water to shampoo, though, that's crazy--more like 2:1), because I'm cheap.
But now I have to, because I can't stand how thick shampoo is, and I can't work it into my hair without diluting it, so now I'm stuck doing it forever.
I'm embarrassed that I do it, and I don't even know if my husband knows I do it.
I get that. This is why I have a problem with a lot of women IRL. I'm typically pretty quiet at first, plus I have resting bitch face. I don't mean to look like a bitch, it's natural!
SAME.

Haha love it! I think you're gorgeous! I've had a lot of people from high school say they were scared of me. I think it comes from my dad. Everyone is afraid of him and his resting bitch face. I think it looks like he may kill you...he may not...you never know.

Second FFFC... I have developed a drooling problem since having Sonia. If I lean forward and don't pay attention, sometimes drool will just pour out. What the fuck is this?
Yes!!!! Me tooooooo! DH actually commented on this in a grossed out tone of voice after I drooled on DD this morning. Whoops.

So you water it down? Why not just use less?
Yeah, I water it down. I can't use less, because I can't work it in. My hair's really thick, so I feel like when the shampoo is thick, I can't work it into the scalp. This is especially true with conditioner. I'll feel like my hair is clean, but the hair really close to my scalp isn't.
I don't know if this is so much a confession as a conspiracy theory: I wonder if some of these newbs who are suddenly comfortable jumping in on this new board are actually people who were once on our board but flamed out. I can't help but wonder if maybe Jalopy, Voldy, Sockgnome, etc., might be among us again. Time will tell...
Haha, I have a conspiracy theory, too.
I think they are spies from TD.
I realize that this doesnt make much sense but it certainly crossed my mind.
FFFC: I brought my drill thing, and I plan on drilling off my gel nails at work. If I'm gonna have downtime, I'm gonna do shit so I don't have to do it this weekend. If I take care of that, I just have to reapply when I get home. Win.
I have yet to put DD in water for a bath. The infant tub kinda sucks in that it came with a newborn sling and then transitions to a tub that assumes the kid can sit on her own. So since she can't really sit, we are still bathing her in the sling.
I might be able to pull off a real bath sooner, but I'm scared I'll submerge her.
Not sure which one you have but this is the one I have. (Sorry if the link is ginormous)
It has the sling and then two different sides. One for reclining and one for sitting up. I love this tub. Are you sure yours doesnt have the reclining side?

Question for those who bring their LOs in the shower.. Are you actually holding them standing up?
DH showers with the kids...yes, he stands and holds DD then passes her out to me when she's clean. He's only just started making DS stand on his own but that is because DS is like 39 inches tall or something ridiculous and he's just too long/tall to wash whilst holding. Also, he's nearly three so we are trying to get him to wash himself most of the time.

I shower with my daughter. I don't have a bathtub though. I hold her around the body, kind of like a cradle hold, never under the arms or anything I feel like she's too slippery. Then I hand her out to H after she's done.

I would be so terrified of dropping DS!! I don't think I could do it.

spurp13 - You look fierce not bitchy! Beautiful pictures!
I don't indulge in smoking of any kind. Never did anything for me.
I finally remember a confession - I never have anything good I can remember.
When H and I first started dating, I was dating several other guys at the same time. Dating not exclusive or sleeping with. Anyways I was bar tending part time for some extra cash at night and some times I would invite guys to come hang out at the bar while I worked. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to invite two guys (H being one of them) the same night. They sat like 2 seats away from each other both alone and only there to see me, and some how I didn't get found out. Never ever told anyone that especially H. I gave no fucks at the time. I still can't believe that didn't end bad.

Yeah, I couldn't do this... also a shower is like a small momentary escape.
Guys, don't worry, she's just going to go back to lurking and learning about us.
BUT IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE CREEPY SO DON'T WORRY.
wtf I am doing what I was told to do to fit in and you guyz are still going after me. I pieced from the thread but I keep getting tagged back or talked about behind my back. Lurkerz going to lurk. What do you expect? It is the fing internet.
IDGAF if people do it. I think it should be legalized. I just tried it a handful of times in college, and I hated it. I also do not need something that will make me eat an entire kitchen.
Wait, I thought the devil's lettuce was cilantro, I love it!
