Is anyone else as ready for this week to be over as I am?
Day care drop off drama continued, and then I stopped to chat with another mom in the parking lot and noticed her 18 month old was front facing. I mentioned that we still had V RF and would for a long time and she told me that is torture for the babies so she turns them at a year. Ugh.
MH and I are going to watch a movie and drink lots of wine tonight - so at least there's a at the end of the tunnel!
I forgot to mention- I'm really liking Proboards a lot now. I was skeptical and found it really difficult to navigate initially, but it just took some getting used too.
Though my ILs are visiting this weekend. I told my boss I was available to work this weekend and he pointed at me and said "HA HA! You're not getting out of it that's easily!". Busted.
So anyone have experience with Mirena? Specifically how long it takes to get cycles back to normal. When I was on depo shots It would always take MONTHS to get back to normal when I stopped.
I went to Target yesterday, and the FRER pregnancy tests were on sale, so I bought a double pack. I wasn't planning on POAS until Saturday, but I couldn't wait.
And... I'm pregnant!!
Obviously, we're not telling anybody for a bunch of weeks, but I was excited to share the news with you ladies. Even though I lurked when I was pregnant the first time, I learned a lot from all of you, and watching the support you gave each other helped me feel better about the highs and lows of my pregnancy.
This little bean is due October 5 according to the online calculations.

Asking for a friend.
I have had it three times now. Love it.
My cycles typically took 2 or 3 months to get back to normal.
ladystrat I guess I mean how long does it take for your period et al to come back after it's removed. We just moved up TTC for some practical reasons and I'm trying to figure out how far in advance I need to take out the Mirena. based entirely on anecdotal evidence.
Speaking of peeing on sticks...has anyone else been without AF for almost 2 years now?? I'm getting really sick of Peeing on sticks and wasting money. I keep getting crampy and I think she is coming but nothing. Annoying.
@elvk583 Ugh it makes me sad when parents turn their kids to FF so soon. N is still RF and will be until she hits the weight or height limit for RF for her car seat. My MIL questioned me about it once, "won't she run out of room for her legs?" I said "yes but she can cross them and be just fine." I then explained to her how it was safer and haven't heard a peep about it since.
I am SO sore. I went to crossfit yesterday and was dying at the end. I'm supposed to go again today, but my legs and arms are so sore already. I don't know if I can do it! I might take N to her gym class today, if anyone's there. I've been waiting for the 11:45 class to get more people in it. I'll call today and see if anyone's going. Also, day 11 of the 24 day challenge!
tjhine I'm right there with you. We did not have a good day yesterday and last night wasn't good either. I'm hoping that she naps today. She's seemingly less snotty, so I might go to the gym this morning.
I finally got some applicants for my housecleaning post. One applicant is a husband/wife team. How do we feel about that? They charge more but obviously work faster. I don't know. I'm not sure I like the idea of having two people here when it's just me and B. I suppose Milo is a good deterrent for anything shady. I'm probably being ridiculous.

Yes I'm so ready for the weekend! Sleep here has been tough as well, LO was up at 2:30, 3:30 and then 4:45 for a bottle in our bed, then up ready to play at 6. I def getting a latte this morning!
I'm also excited because I should have received my first paycheck with my new pay amount (small raise plus FINALLY finished paying back my work for healthcare during my maternity leave) but, DH wants to review our budget this weekend and see if I can now take over a few bills - so that kind of kills the fun of a bigger paycheck!

I was without AF until about lo's first birthday and it was always making me nervous. Even now AF has been super light- like I know I shouldn't be complaining but crazy, is it or isn't it, light- so there's still that little bit of nerves in the back of my mind.

As of January 17th, it's been officially two years since my last period. I buy the Walmart ones for 88 cents and pee on them once. ..ok, twice monthly.
K blew my birthday secret last night. He was drunk. Lol. But he felt stressed at how to keep it a surprise. Next Friday he's trying to get my tattoo scheduled. Yah buddy! But he said it'd be obvious if he told me to scrub and shave my ankle/foot and to wear flip flops. Oh and dropping off Ava with his sister. I told him is still an awesome surprise since it's almost been two years since my last tattoo.
