My husband drives a Mini Cooper. I offered to teach him how to drive a stick shift, but he went with the manual and I judge him for it. Some cars should only be stick shifts and Mini is one of them.
FFFC: Our lab is from a breeder. As @wedding06 said, I think good, responsible breeders have their place. In our case, DH really wanted a lab that could be trained to hunt/retrieve, hence we went with a breeder that specialized in that, and you have to start training them as puppies. It also set my mind at ease to know she was free of congenital issues like hip dysplasia and other problems that are common in labs. I would be open to a rescue for future pets.
2nd FFFC (probably the most serious thing I've ever confessed here): Sometimes I just dread being pregnant again. Part of it's selfish (the fatigue/side effects, weight gain, maternity clothes) but I also am really scared about a recurrence of the issues I had with Bradley that landed me in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. Apparently some women have it 'easier' with subsequent pregnancies, but for some it's even worse. I'm so afraid of being in the latter group.
I think DH's version of lingerie would be anything besides sweats/t shirts or fleece. Ain't nobody got time for that!
FFFC: Just realized today that we might just need to board the dog while we're in Vegas next week. Yeah, I forgot about the dog. Thankfully the rescue we got her from also does boarding and pretty much has an open door policy, so it shouldn't be a problem. Oops.

I'm totally with you there, and I didn't evenhave any major issues when I had C. I'm terrified something will go wrong the next time. I can't imagine how I'd feel if I had had any complications, that'd be so hard...

I don't think I can ever drive anything but an SUV. I learned how to drive on a big truck. Whenever I drive in a sedan, I feel so vulnerable and like someone just crash into me. I mean, maybe I could live with a convertible for a summer car. But that's in my fantasy world. In real life, I don't like being low to the ground.
^^ditto. I had a 4Runner and then I 'downsized' (height-wise) to my Volvo SUV. I couldn't do anything lower. Plus I'm too tall...I look awkward as heck trying to climb up and out of a sedan. #tallpeopleproblems

bettercallsaul you are a great Mom to Phia! They would have called you sooner if it was high eariler. I'm sure she was having a good time.
I love sticks! I was so sad when we sold the Mustang. One day we will have one again, untill then my 4 wheeler is a manual.
FFFC: I have contemplated pulling LMs sled with the 4 wheeler or snowmobile, but they probably go too fast for this to be safe. I just want to be lazy!
My first car (old, hand me down, hand me down beater) was a stick shift. My current car is also a stick shift. We call it The Ghetto Sled. It is a total POS and there are no adequate words to describe exactly how much I hate that car. If it were up to me, I would have pushed into the river a long time ago. MH works in the actual ghetto, and so thankfully he drives it everyday and so I drive his car instead. It's for the best because like I said, I would have destroyed that POS a long time ago just to get a new one, but he is very patient and knows that we need to build our house first. As soon as the house is built, I'm getting a fully loaded Tahoe. Or some other big three row SUV with room for our dogs as well as hopefully a growing family.
ETA: The fact that the car is a stick shift is annoying, but not why I hate it so much. I was a very poor medical student when I bought it and it was cheaper and more gas efficient than an automatic transmission.
I think responsible breeders do have a place, but backyard breeders are horrible people who exploit animals for their own financial gain. We rescued Milo from the pound and all future animals will likely come from a shelter or breed rescue.
One of my bridal showers was a lingerie shower. I tossed most of it before we moved because it's wasted on DH and it was taking up drawer space.
@lizinfl I have a daily battle and pep talk with myself about going through pregnancy again, specifically the aftermath. I honesty hate my post-partum body. Without turning this into too much of a DD, there's not one thing that I like about it and unfortunately, most of it isn't anything that diet and exercise are going to fix. But I do want another baby. The thought of undoing the progress that I've made and going back to the start line sucks.
My first car was a stick. I loved it. Hated that no one knew how to drive it, so I was always stuck being the DD when we went out. BOOO
I always used it to get out of being DD. We never took my car out so I never had to worry about it. Well that and the fact that my first car didn't have AC and I went to college in South Carolina.
I stopped BF on Monday but last night T and I were both not feeling well last night and I was so tired I offered a boob. I'm pretty sure my milk dried up so this was probably just creepy.
I could have sex every day. DH is the stick in our mud. His latest MO is pissing me off right before bed so that I want nothing to do with him.
A friend of mine from HS once blogged all of the reasons his wife wouldn't have sex with him. "I'm too hot. I'm too cold. I'm too drunk. I'm not drunk enough." I felt bad for laughing.
I miss driving stick shift. My dad required all of us girls to learn how to drive on a manual. The beater that Tim uses to drive to work everyday is a stick. We are looking to replace here in the next few months, but I don't want to forget how to drive one!
I think it's like riding a bike. It'll just come back to ya.
Well, now I really DO feel like #moty and a selfish asshole.
DC just called. Phia has a fever of 103.1. DH was walking in to pick her up as they were on the phone with me. Waiting for the nurse to call me back.
I'm so over this, man.
It's okay, I would have thought it was teeth and sent her, too. Don't beat yourself up about it, you did what you thought was best given how she was acting at the time and fever was low.

So late to this but I have one..
@lizinfl my dream car is a Volvo suv! I love the high headrest. I am 6'1 so totally get that..but I drove a VW bbeetle for all of high school and college - it was surprisingly spacious in the front..the back, not so much. Now I have a CR-V, so at least I'm higher up now.
My actually kind of bad FFFC is that J has a rash from his augmentin and I forgot to call the doctor about it. I only see it in the tub and then promptly forget. It was on his belly last night and now on his legs too. Did anyone else have this reaction? All this measles talk had me spooked but I'm sure it's just a reaction and need to figure out if we need to stop using it. I hope I'm not the only parent that calls the on call doc at least once a month.
kfran84 I'm 5'10" tallblonde yep, the headrests are really nice...it's funny how little things like that can make a difference! My only experience driving a sedan (if you can call it a sedan) was when I was in an accident, and got a Mitsubishi Spyder convertible for a rental while my car was being repaired. I think I flashed the entire parking garage every day for a month getting out of the car for work. I am apparently not a graceful car-exit'er.
