So DH started a new job in May, but before that he traveled a ton for work. Because of that, we have both airline and hotel points saved up and want to take one last trip before baby comes.

Probably, but only because we're totally overdue for a vacation. So not really a "babymoon".
We had a trip that maybe could have been classified as a babymoon last time around, and I have to say, I would have enjoyed it much more if I hadn't been pregnant. New Orleans smelled extra terrible with my pregnancy sense of smell :-P

I think I'm taking a mommy-to-be trip with one of my girlfriends who is also pregnant. We're going to lay on the beach and drink organic smoothies! And she's already had one child, so she's going to give me all the good info. We live on opposite sides of the country, so it's really just a chance for us to get together and spend some time together.

We were hoping to take SS to Disney World next March prior to the BFP...now we're trying to decide if it is possible to move the trip waayyy up so that I can enjoy it without being huge or having a bitty baby in tow. Do not want to Disney with baby, but also don't want SS to miss out on going while he is still young enough to experience the magic of it all. If we do end up going, that would definitely be the only babymoon type situation we could afford. If we don't Disney, I hope I can convince DH to spend our travel points on something a little more pregnancy friendly...I just don't know what yet.
The only baby moon I Would get to take is maybe over memorial day weekend to go visit my nephew and his mom in Denver. Between a long vacation and a lot of extra very unplanned sick days soon after I managed to use up all my vacation and sick time this year. How does one get the stomach virus 2 times in two months in the middle of the week each time?
I'll be honest, I didn't realize babymooning was a thing..
We have talked about taking a trip sometime towards the end of summer, but this was in the works before getting pregnant. I don't think we'd make a special trip anywhere as a babymoon. (Frankly, I intend to use being pregnant as an excuse to NOT go places and do things. )

We're not doing a babymoon per se, but we are going to take a small road trip with DD to the Omaha Zoo/Children's Museum/whatever else there is to do in Omaha over a long Columbus Day weekend in October. I have to save up my sick leave and vacation time because we don't get any separate maternity leave. So, it's hard to take time off.

We have been planning on going on a vacation this summer, but we were planning something fun and active probably in Europe. Now we are post BFP and shifted our plans to sitting on a beach and enjoying the calm and quiet. This will be our last big vacation, so I guess it is unintentionally a Babymoon. I'd like to take a 3 day weekend somewhere nearby when we get a bit closer (but winter in Chicago? Blegh)
No, I teach so I won't be able to do much other than a long weekend, and I don't get maternity leave or personal days. We might be able to swing a long weekend. A cabin in the fall would be nice.
I'm probably going to save my vacation time and not go anywhere until the baby is born. And then probably not go anywhere because there's a little baby. So I guess I'll be hanging out in this town for a while!

You are going to love the zoo, I have a family pass that gets used often. They have a section to the south kind of closed off for the new African grasslands exhibit to open next year but there's a path that runs thru it. Might also want to hit up the The Durham Museum they always have something fun.
If we get to do anything, it will probably just be a weekend staycation-type thing. Having kids makes it hard to just pack up and go somewhere because we need someone available to watch them.

That was high on my list until we had to foot the bill for IVF. The goal now is to pay off the kid before its born. I also have to save up my time for maternity leave.
~~All Welcome~~ Married March 2012 | TTC April 2014 DH (26): Normal | Me (25): Blocked Right Tube, Open Left Tube with Adhesions due to Hx of Crohn's Disease
Essure Clip Placed to block right tube 3/26/15 IVF #1 May 2015 13R/7M/6F Transferred 1 Blast and 2 Morulas 5/18; None to Freeze
We didn't plan it as a baby moon since we booked it way before but we went on a cruise when I was about 20weeks. H's extended family goes on one or two every year. We had a blast but I got sick a few times which sucked. I'm already sensitive to boat movement and pregnancy made it worse. This time around we weren't planning on going cruising this year and definitely couldn't now (they go in January). We probably won't go anywhere fun again until January 2017. That was kind of depressing to write...

Haha, DH and I decided to get one last weekend away together before DD was born but by the the time I found a weekend I could peel myself away from work I was nearly 8 months pregnant and there wasn't much to do on a snowy late April weekend. We visited a sugar bush and decided to walk one of the trails on the property, not realizing that all of the tubes that carry sap actually crossed it at approx. waist height. Cue awkward pregnant lady crab walking under them while hubby tried desperately to help me balance! It has made for some good memories.

I will say that while it may not sound appealing, Disney with a little one isn't all that bad. They have excellent baby care centers to change, feed and just get out of the heat and a good parent swap so both parents can enjoy some rides without having to wait in line twice. LO made his first Disney trip when he was a month old and we went regularly after that.
We had planned a family cruise this fall, so that will probably be our baby moon. However, we will have a stay-cation type baby moon towards the end and my parents will take DS for the weekend. Because I will probably end up on bed rest, we are waiting to determine when this will happen.
We were planning a trip to see family on the east coast in August anyways, as long as my stress stays under control I think we're still going to go. I'm a terrible flyer and don't do well away from home, so we'll see. We had something more adult and caribbean planned for the fall, but I'll be too big to enjoy that, so it's scrapped.

I thought babymoon was when you stay home and get waited on after the baby is born. But I will play along. We are having our 25th anniversary in August, so we were planning on a close weekend vacation (because it seems silly to go somewhere warm in August) and then we were going to go to Mexico to the beach in February. Now with a baby coming in Feb, that isn't going to happen. So I think we are at least going to Chicago for the weekend in August and might look at taking off right after Christmas for somewhere tropical. I am a Pastor, so going during Advent is not an option.

I have to go to San Jose, CA for work in October, so I think MH and I will fly out several days before and spend some time in San Fran and maybe go up to Yosemite. We are big time nature folk... love state and national parks.

This. As much as I would like to be planning a vacay right now, I don't see one in our near future.
