Here's an interesting article about the flag. It's written by a guy I've known since preschool and he's a reporter for Think Progress now.

I think the Confederate flag has no business flying anywhere. There was an attempt to remove it a while ago but it wasn't very successful. Unfortunately our government is too conservative and backwards to understand. The Confederate flag is only celebrated by ignorant rednecks. The ignorant conservatism is what I dislike most about SC.

Put the flag in a museum but don't fly it anywhere!
