Friday Check-in - Weekend Plans!

Hi ladies--Happy Friday!  

The past few weeks it's been fun catching up with you all on Friday to see what everyone has going on over the upcoming weekend.  I thought maybe we could make this a regular thing

So--what do you have on tap this coming weekend?  And how are you doing, in general?

In laws are taking LO so we can get rest/get out! other than that, nothing lol

Tonight my parents are going to watch LO while DH and I go out to dinner with a couple who are expecting their first baby in September. I totally expect to feel all the pregnancy envy.

Tomorrow morning we are participating in a walk to raise awareness for post-partum mood disorders. After that, we're heading down the Cape and taking baby boy to the beach for the first time--so excited!

Thanks for getting this started, dashook! That's awesome that you guys are going out with an expecting couple. How did you guys meet them?

missjenniebean, any specific plans for your time away from baby? Or will you be doing what I do and just browsing the aisles of Target for hours on end? (That store has seriously become my restoration niche. It's dangerous.)

My hubs is working tomorrow morning, but in the afternoon we'll be meeting with a couple of potential babysitters. We interviewed another one last weekend and really liked her, so I'll be checking her references this weekend.

Sunday is hubs' first Father's Day! We're going to the aquarium in the morning, and then one of my coworkers is babysitting so I can take him out for a steak dinner as his present. (I also bought him a 49ers license plate frame for his car and a Kaepernick onesie for the baby, but the steak dinner is the real treat, for both of us. Especially because I fully plan to get lobster )

My step son is with us this weekend so we'll probably do a whole bunch of nothing haha. I'm too pregnant and exhausted to want to do much of anything. Maybe we'll go swimming on Saturday.

toratoratori, i love target. I don't know why. But I do.

+1 for being too pregnant to life right now. Even though I still have 7 weeks left, baahhh. I'm convinced I'm giving birth to a raptor anyways, with all her kicks and punches and what feels like clawing on my cervix. DH had a half marathon about 5 hours away so we drove 5 hours up there on Friday, he ran, and drove back 5 hours on Saturday. I am in pain today and not moving from my couch. Ever again. It's also 93 degrees outside with a RealFeel Temp of 110. In swampland. Nope nope nope.

Oh they are friends going back aways. The husband and my H went to high school together

How did it go with the babysitters??
