However, I probably would have been to scared to eat anyway worrying that I would have a huge poop while pushing.
oh I pooped... Did not care.
This was my fear the first time around. My contractions started right before dinner, and I skipped it. Didn't end up going to the hospital until 1 am, and delivering until noon the next day.
It's so boring over there. The lurking holds very little ROI. I predict that the new regs will have a snark breakdown in about two weeks after they "get it."
So, I honestly don't know if I've ever pooped during delivery. I don't think I have, but frankly, I wouldn't have noticed and I don't care.
With DS, I vomited during transition, when shit got real. I snuck some apple sauce into the hospital - and I had some - but that wasn't the worst thing to come back up. I've been told that that's one of the reasons why (in hospitals) you're not supposed to eat - risk of asphyxiation and issues with anesthesia in case of emergency.
With DD, I didn't sneak food. Orange popsicles for me. Luckily, orange popsicles are delicious.
I don't think I was even allowed ice chips. My DD also had her cord wrapped around her neck and the dr (thankfully) made me stop pushing in order to unwrap it.
My babies weren't seen by Drs or paediatricians. Only MWs.
You didn't see a pedi after 4 days for weight checks? That is pretty standard in medical care. But I've never seen a midwife, so I am not sure how that works.
No. Here when we choose midwifery care, only a midwife sees the baby and mom for the first six weeks. And pedi's are considered specialists and are only seen on referral. Everyone sees GPs here.
She responded with a full blown Wikipedia text about what vanishing twins were and why on my post asking about others experiance. No shit Sherlock. I did my homework but asked about personal experiance. I didn't engage her. But did some out loud fuck off'ing.

If you don't want to call her out thats its BS you could post a disclaimer post "this is not the norm!" Maybe that will curb some of the fear? Maybe...

I have a pretty traumatic IUD removal story. I had to be put under and they couldn't wait because the utensil was sticking out of me (it was stuck). Because I had eaten breakfast (didn't know i'd have to be put under) they had to put a breathing tube in because of the reasons you listed.
Wow. Just wow. If we were meeting up in physical, I'd be placing bets on when the dump will begin to implode in its own pressurized snark. I actually give it a month.
I will give my labor experience. I was in labor for 38 hours, I had breakfast before good into the hospital after being in labor for 14 hours, then nothing else besides water and jolly ranchers. I also threw up right before pushing. And I pooped while pushing. It was how I knew I was doing it right. The nurse just wiped it up after each push.

Her stupid article made me angry. It really didn't explain vanishing twins, it explained the rarest case that can happen when a twin vanishes called chimerism.

Truer champs poop right after their c sec because the docs forgot a crucial medication that slows your bowels. True story, lol....nurses had to clean my bum as I still couldn't move from the spinal. I couldn't even hold my leg up for them, haha, I felt so embarrassed...I just kept apologizing and laughing.

She is completely BSC. Her first post was to WK out of the blue and because she was rude as shit, she is on my post it list of don't reply to her threads. EVER ..waste of energy
I hadn't eaten food in over 24 hours, and I still somehow vomited on my husband during labor. He should have heard me asking for the trash can and he could have been spared lol. The end of labor really is gross, but you do not care at all, you just want the baby out!
